Set a couple of years after Mycroft's funeral.
Sherlock and Joan have been married for almost two years and Joesph has just turned two.
Joan woke from her sleep upon hearing the noise downstairs, she got out of the bed and went down the stairs to living room only to see that Sherlock and Joesph had been playing one of their many games and have knocked over almost everything in the living room.
'Sherlock!'
He looked at Joan and grabbed Joesph to stop him running around,
'What is going on? I thought you said you'd be at the station this morning?'
'I was, I managed to solve the case in under half an hour.'
He put Joesph down and began to clear up.
'So i came home, you were still asleep so I decided to entertain Joesph.'
'By trashing the house?' She started to clear up.
'That was never my intention.' After a couple of minuets the living room not longer looked like a bomb site. Joan went into the kitchen to make some coffee, He could tell she was annoyed. He went up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist
'I'm sorry.'
'I know.' They stood there for awhile enjoying the quite and relaxing with each other. 'Where's Joesph?'
'In his play room. I made sure the guard's on.' He kissed her neck.
'He is so like you it's unreal.'
'Is that a bad thing?'
She turned in his arms and wrapped hers around his neck. 'I never said that.' She pulled him down and kissed him. 'I love it.' He smiled and recaptured her lips. He then lifted her up and sat her on the counter.
'Sherlock.. Joesph..'
'I told you the guards on.' He untied her dressing gown, letting it drop to the floor. Joan re-moved her hands from around his neck to travel down his body, unbuttoning his shirt as she went. They haven't been together like this for awhile. Sherlock pulled away to look at her.
'What is it?'
He took a moment.
'I love you.'
Joan smiled at him and placed her hand on his cheek.
'I love you too.'
She pulled back into the kiss but as she did the doorbell went.
'Damn' Sherlock began to re-button his shirt as Joan jumped down from the counter to retrieve her dressing gown. 'We need to do something about that doorbell.' He gave her a quick kiss before going to answer the door. He opened it.
'Hey Buddy, long time no see.'
It was Oscar.
