Joan woke up and went downstairs, still in her nightwear, to find the kitchen was still a mess from last night.

'Didn't i ask you to clean this up last night?.'
'I was going to clean it up this morning when you were still in bed so it would be a nice surprise. I didn't anticipate you being up this early.' He gave her his puppy dog eyes.
