I have never heard of this character or his book. Can you help me better understand whst its about? He sounds cool.

Skulduggery Pleasant is the debut novel of Irish playwright Derek Landy, published in 2007.

It is the first of a planned nine-book series.

The novel crosses the horror, comedy, mystery and sci-fi genres.

The story follows the titular character, an undead wizard and detective, with his partner Stephanie Edgley, and numerous magic-wielding allies as they try to prevent an evil sorcerer from unleashing a weapon of terrible power on the world.

Skulduggery Pleasant is the guy every novelist dreams of being. He is an undead sorcerer, a skeleton, that always triumps over evil and is never at a loss for words. But with every great hero, there has to be an obnoxious sidekick, which is where Valkyrie Cain comes in. She is the main character of the book, a new sorcerer and a decdant of a line of powerful sorcerers. It is everyone's wish to be like her, but she is still only new at magic, and cannot use it to her full advantage. Yet she will not die, and everyone seems to go out of their way to stop her from getting hurt. And she is letting it get to her head...
Still, despite Valkyrie, the series is a wonderfully spectacular one, and you would be crazy not to take up any oppurtunnity to read these books.

he's reaaly great like funny and and very full of himself :D the book's a mix of horro comedy and fantasy you should totally read it :)

It follows a young girl name Stephanie Edgly who's uncle has just died.At the funeral she sees a guy in a cloak and hat and gloves.She later finds out he's un undead detective.She wants to help because she doesn't like regular life.

Landy wrote "Skuldugery Pleasant" in 2008. He has written 5 books so far and the 6th is coming in Septamber, The series is THE BEST!

Skulduggery Pleasant is, and always will be, the BEST fantasy/mystery/sci-fi/action/adventure/action book ever written. The character is a skeleton detective, who has recently taken on a 12 (when the series starts) year old partner. They save the world a lot, they fight a lot, and a lot of people die. Basically, you should read it before you die.
