Clark continues to mourn Lana while trying to defeat Bizarro. Later in Shanghai, China, a blond woman is seen walking down a busy street. She enters her apartment and takes off her wig. It is revealed to be Lana. She looks up to the moon from her window at the same time as Clark.

Lana returns to Smallville after Lex confronts her in Shanghai. She goes to Clark's house and Clark is surprised and delighted, since she was thought to be dead. In the evening they are at a fair together and Lana tells Clark that she wants to grow old with him.
