HyperKnight9X said:
Yes, he is. Anakin fulfilled his destiny in Return of the Jedi, though it took him a decade to do so after becoming a Sith Lord. I think it was George (and others) who said that Anakin would have been even more powerful than Yoda but his power may have been limited due to his cybernetic limbs (I think that's what they said).

let us look deeper into this subject. How did he fulfill his destiny as the chosen one? Act as if I don't know. Explain it ALL.

I guess to make a long story short, the dark side was stronger during the original trilogy and engulfed the galaxy in the form of the Galactic Empire, therefore breaking the balance of the light side and dark side of the Force. Anakin fulfilled his destiny by destroying the great evil who was the center of the Empire by saving his son. With the death of the true Dark Lord, Anakin brought balance back to the Force. That's how I see it anyways.

A lot of people say that, in fact Luke was the chosen one, not Anakin like everyone thought. People say that in fact Luke brought balance to the force, although I disagree. Vader/Anakin, in the end, killed Lord Sidious and, in turn, himself. IE, Sith dead, jedi prevail, big happy ending.

I always felt like Luke was the chosen one, and they sensed that in Anakin, but they didn't know that it would really be Luke. My other theory is that Anakin IS the chosen one, but since he failed to remain a Jedi, Luke had to come along... sort of like another chosen one... to fix it up :0)

That is a cool idea. I also thought that Luke was the Chosen One and just took over for Ani after he tuned.

Yes, even though Ani tuned in the end he still lived up to what Qui-Gon said he would be, but just in a differnt way.

Well isn't it obvious that even as darth vader he threw the emperor down the death star bringing balance back to the force.

Of course he is! It's a no-brainer. He restored good to the galaxy and rid it of evil. Some say that Luke is, but he was just his son, a hero of course and a Jedi, but definetly NOT the Chosen One. In my opinion, Anakin was far more advanced than Luke, he's the best of the best, but that's me.

I think he is The Chosen One because he fulfilled his destiny of bringing balance to the Force even though it took his own death to fulfill it. It was nice his own son helped him along.
