princess_16 Actually, according to the newest discoveries.. opposites do not attract. To be honest, I do not believe in that stuff.. I don't like to believe you fall in love with someone, or end up with someone, based on some scientific research. Although, I do remember one text I've read when I was taking Philosophy, about that. About the whole point of finding a soul mate is to a find another part of your soul. Someone that completes you, someone that makes you feel safe and whole. So, how can someone who's completely different than you be the other part of your soul? That kinda made a lot of sense to me.. But I do agree with you. Honestly, I see the appeal of Delena.. people see Damon as this anti hero on the rode of redemption, who fell in love with a girl he can't have. But people seem to ignore that Stefan is also on the rode of redemption.. but unlike Damon, he accepted his inner hero, and her never tried to deny he's one. He likes his role, and he takes joy into knowing he can keep safe people he loves. Damon.. he always expects something in return when he does a good deed. That's quite selfish.. because Stefan never expects anything. The knowledge he saved a persons life, or that with saving it he made Elena happy, is enough for him.

Eirinaki_b_13 I believe that oposites attract and that soulmates are two people who are defferent, so they can complete each other... If the other person is just like you, what is the point? Why have someone complete your senetnces? You already know what you are going to say... You need someone that sais something different and see things from a different POV... However I think that a couple should agree on some important things (like for example having a family) and have the same heart. I dont think that SE are complete opposites but they are not the same either, and I ship them anyway...

paulnina I totally agree with you. When I say opposites I mean total opposites. I think if people are to similar it's not good either.

princess_16 True. When I say opposites.. I also mean, total opposites. Like devil/angel sort of thing. And I agree.. people who are too similar are not good together.. but that's the point, Elena and Stefan are not similar. They're very much different. They just respect and understand each other.

TVDFanaddict Honestly though I do believe that someone can finish your sentences and it doesn't mean that they think the same it just means that they know you. I would want someone to know me well enough to know what I want and how I think. I think it allows you to connect with said person better. It doesn't mean that you guys have to be the same it just means that you know the other person. I think if you are with someone who doesn't know you or understand the way you think then it causes problems. I think Stefan and Elena are very different but at the same time very similar however they know each other i think and that's why I like them. They're not these total opposites with loads of sexual attraction or these two people who are so similar and have a bond because they are the same. They're two people who know each other and love each other for who they are.
