Along with Batman, Superman is one of DC's top 2 most popular superheroes. In the 1940's, Superman appeared in a series of theatrical cartoons. After television became a worldwide sensation, Superman started appearing on TV. Since then, he has had several TV shows. In addition to having his own shows, he has appeared in team shows, including Super Friends, Justice League and Legion of Super Heroes. Some of Superman's supporting characters have had their own shows, including Krypto the Superdog and Supergirl. There was a show about Superman's grandfather that was called Krypton. Also, Superman has made guest appearances in various shows, including Batman Beyond, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, The Batman, Teen Titans Go! and DC Super Hero Girls.
