When I woke up that morning, the sun was just begining to come up. Oakley walked into my room right as I was getting out of bed.
Good your up! Let's to surfing. Oakley told me.
Cool. Be done in a minute. I said.
Okay. He said and closed my door.
I put on my bathsuit then my rashguard and I pulled on anpair of bluejean shorts. I walked down stairs and Oakley was setting eggs and biscuts in the table.
How long have you been up? I ask.
45 minutes. He said.
Oh. I went to the cabnit and pulled out a couple of water bottles tofill up with water and them I put them in the freezer so they would stay colder longer at the beach.
Once we ate, we said bye to mom and dad and the rest of the fam. then we waded to the garage. We were taking Oakley's truck because it could hold our longboards and shortboards. Oakley and I were pretty good at tandem surfing I grabbed towels off the towel rack and threw them in the truck and we were off. I had my hair in a ponytail with my sunglasses on and Oakley had sunglasses on and the radio blasting before we even had left the garage. We went to the public beach. Once we got there I grabed my two boards and then went and laid all my stuff by a lifeguard tower. It was Matt's day to work, he was like another one of my older brothers. He was sweet, kind and he always looked out for me even when Oakley was looking out for me too. Matt was cute he was 18 though and I was however just 16. Although it is only two years between us 18 is a big thing I don't know why but it just is.
Hey Matt. Will you watch my stuff while I surf? I ask.
Yeah sure, no porblem. He said.
Cool thanks. I said while running towards the water.
Oakley was talking to Matt now and they were good friends. That is why I'm friends with all these guys is because of my brother who loves to talk. Yes weird for a guy that isnt gay I know. Oakley was far from gay. I was surfing pretty good, I was trying a backside floater. It was almost like grinding the way but right as I got on the water I leaned too far forward and fell face first into the surf. I came up too quick and my board came back and hit me right in the eyebrow. I touch it to see if it was bleeding and of course it was so I dipped my head in the water, hopefully trying not to get blood on my rashguard. I went in and Matt and Oakley were standing at the waters edge when I got in. Oakley took my board quickly and Matt lead me up to his lifeguard tower to fix me up.
Just out pressure on it and it will quiet bleeding and plus I want to go back out there and try that trick again. I almost had it. I said to Matt and Oakley.
I think you are the only girl in the world that is willing to take a blow to the eye and want to go back out there. Matt said.
No comment. I said.
It quickly stopped bleeding and I headed out to surf once again. Oakley and I surfed all day and our parents even came tithe beach to watch us surf. I guess it was around 5 o'clock when we started home and when we got there Esme and Alice were cooking dinner for us.
Hey Samantha, do you want to go shopping for school clothes tomorrow? Alice ask.
Um, do I really have to answer that? I ask.
You don't wanna go? Alice asked sadly.
Um, Alice you forgot that I absolutely love shopping! I said.
Yay!!!! Oak, do you want to come? It's not going to be bad. She said.
Umm, sure why not! Okaley said.
Alice was more than happy now. She was dancing around the house.
Three days till school started. I hated takig a day off from surfing but I knew I needed some clothes to wear. I ate dinner and then took a shower. I feel asleep shortly after I started watching Insane Cinema on Fuel Tv. I woke up to Alice picking my clothes out. It was 5 o clock. I took a shower and then I did y hair and makeup and I was ready to go. We went to a major shopping mall somewhere. Jasper drove and Oakley and Him talked about sports and I was well just quiet. Once we got to the mall Alice was grabbing all the clothes and handing them to me. Once I was dine shopping it was Oakley's turn. We shopped till I dropped no kidding. By 4 o'clock in the afternoon everyone of us were carrying bags from different stores. My feet were hurting major because Alice had made me wear highheels so Oakley being a nice brother gave me a piggy back ride to the car. I fell asleep on the way and barely woke up when Oakley was carring me up to my room.
I mumbled thanks to him when he sat me on the bed. I fell back asleep shortly after Oakley closed my door.
The following morning I woke up to Oakley wakig me up.
Sam, you need to wake up! It's almost 10:30. He told me.
You let me sleep till 10:30? Why? All of the good surfing is gone by now. I said.
Samantha, I couldn't get you awake to go surfing with me this morning! Oakley td me.
I hopped out of my bed and went to my bathroom. I had on the same clothes and makeup as I had on yesterday. I washed my face but in my bathing wwith shirts and a rashguard and went downstairs to eat brunch. Lunch and breakfast in one meal. I ate some Easy Mac and then went to the beach to go surfing. I went to local beach to see Matt and when i got there Garrett and Oakley were there.
Hey Matt. I said walking up to his tower.
Hey sleepy head. Matt said to me.
Thanks. I said.
Yes, I don't mind watching over your things as you go surfing. Matt told with sarcasm in his voice.
Thanks!! I squeeled and gave him a hug.
I went running towards the water andstarted surfing the minute I got to the lineup. Oakley and Garrett knew the one thing that would make me mad was if the did t let me get intothe lineup. Oakley never tried to do that to me because he knows how strong I am and Garrett thinks it is funny. Luckily I wasn't having this problem today. I surfed and went for new trick like frontside bottom turn. I landed it! I was stoked, couldn't believe that I nailed that on my first try.
