Samantha 16  After I left the beach I went back to the hotel and took a shower before going to see my parents. Before I got into the shower I looked at my shoulder and it was swollen pretty bad. I barely touched and it sent a shot of pain through my whole arm and shoulders. I decided that a cold shower would help the swelling just like a bag of ice would do. I got out of the shower and i was absolutely freezing. Taking a cold shower was the wrong idea. I put on my regular clothes which invovled of course shorts and a tishirt and tuen I headed to my parents house. I'm only 16 and I'm calling my house my parents house, it saddened me. I found my car waiting outside the door and then I was on my way. There was a note from Emmett and Rose. Samantha, Don't bother knocking. Walk right in as you use to do. Don't be scared we have talked to your parents and have told them some of your feelings about these past two months. Don't worry about anything. Love you always, Rose and EmmettReading that note only made me nervous. I still didn't know what to tell them or anything. I pulled up to the house and took a deep breath and got out of my car.  Walked through the garage ( which was open) and hesitated to even touch the door knob. I looked around and my boards were stacked against the wall. Emmett open the door to the garage and walked over to me, while I was staring at my surfboards and how they were just piled up in the corner. Samantha, it's okay. Emmett said trying to reassure me. I can't do this. I said. Sam, you can do this. Trust me. He said. I turned around and ran out of the garage. I didn't even bother trying to get in my car. I was scared if what my parents would think of me now. I was already hurt within the twentyfour hours of being back home. I never wanted this to happen. It was still my fault that Oakleycouldnt remember me and that Garrett wasn't even like my big brother any more. I ran into the woods as far as I could make it. I sat against a tree and pulled my sleeve up to look at my shoulder. It was bruised and swollen and hurt like nothing before. I know I have said this a million times but this was the worst pain I had ever felt. I sat there for probably thirty minutes before I got up and ran again. I was going the opposite directions of my parent house and was headed towards somewhere. I came out to a beach and it was the beach that Oakley and I had discovered together and two people were out there surfing. I stayed behind the bushes and watched the two people surf. They soon paddled in and sat on the beach talking. I could hear what they were saying but it was Oakley and Garrett. I started listening harder once I heard my name mentioned. I heard Samantha is in town. Garrett said to Oakley. Yeah, she called me a while back too. Oakley said. Really? Wow, I figured she wouldn't call for anything. Garrett said. Yeah, I didn't stay on the phone with her. I acted like I still didn't remember her. Oakley said. I started crying then it hit me. Oakley had finally remembered me and he didn't even tell me or my parents hadn't even called me. Why? You know she is going to be mad. Garrett said. Yeah, I just didn't know what to say. It surprised me. Oakley exclaimed. You didn't know what to say? I said as I came out from behind the bushes. How long have you been standing there? Oakley asked me. Long enough to know that you don't care about and that- I stopped right there and started crying harder. Oakley got up walked over to me. Look sis.- don't even go there Oakley I said interupting him. Ydo you know that I still feel guilty about making you get up to go surfing and then you loosig your memory. I told him. Look, I'm sorry. He said. You know? Me too, I thought- I couldn't make the words come out of my mouth. I turned around and started running north. I didn't stop for anything. I ran for three hours without stopping. I had my cellphone in my pocket which hadn't stopped ringing since I guess Oakley told Rose and Emmett. I looked at the caller i.d. and it said Rosalie. Hello. I said. I knew Rose could hear that I was still crying. Samantha. Are you okay? Rose asked. Yeah, I'm fine. I said. I'm so sorry, we should have never let you come down here. She said. It's okay. I needed to know that Oakley finally remembered me. I told her. Will you bring my surfboards and whatever else you think I might want? I asked Rose. Yes, of course. Where are you so Emmett can come and pick you up? She asked. I don't  know somewhere north. I'll run home, it'll be good for me. I told her. Okay call me if you want us to pick you up or for anuthig honey. Emmett said. Okay, I will. Love y'all. I said startig to cry again. Love you too honey. Be careful please. They both said. Will do. And with those last words I hung up. I still loved my parents and i'm grateful for everything they had done for me but I was beyond being sad when they hadn't told me that Oakley remembered me. I shifted into my wolf form so I could run faster. I carried my clothes in my mouth and it only took me a day and a half to get back home. When I finally did get home Emmett and Rosalie had been home half a day. I was exhausted from running so much. My shoulder was more than just cracked when I got back home. I guessed that Jasper felt that I was in pain because once I was in my room Carlisle knocked on my door. Samantha, what's wrong? Jasper told me you are in pain. Carlisle said to me. I'm fine, just sore from running a long way home. I said. I knew lying was bad but I didn't want anyone's sympathy. Sam, are you hurt? He ask. No sir. I said. I hated to lie to Carlisle but if they found out that I ad gotten hurt again, I'm pretty sure that they would feel the same way with my parents did and send me back to them or somewhere else. Edward walked into my room right as Carlisle was leaving. I remembered that Edward could read my mind so I gave him the " please don't tell anyone" look. Let's go for a run. Edward said. I'm tired, I've been running nonstop. I told him. Come on. He said. Edward pulled me onto his back and then he jumped out of my bedroom window. He ran really fast deep into the woods. Edward only ran for about 15 minutes until he came to a hault. Edward what is it? I asked. We were really deep into the woods, where the sun that was out was barely shining through the trees. Why did you lie to Carlisle? He asked trying to keep his temper down. I just didn't want him to know. I said. Why not? Edward said.Because, I don't want anyone to know. I said firmly. Samantha, what's wrong? He said angry. I looked away from him trying to clear my thoughts. It didn't work as well as I wanted it too. I don't want anyone to have to put up me just because mom and dad sen me here. I said. Samantha, no one feels like you are a burdened on them. He told me. I don't want to do any damage to this family like I did to my family. I said holding back my tears. You can't do that to this family. He said. I never thought something that I could do would break my family apart but it did and I can't let that happen to y'all. I told him. I guess Edward didn't have anything to say because he stayed quiet. I'm sorry for the trouble I have cause but i'm leaving. I said. I shifted into my wolf form and started running and Edward was following me. I ran faster and harder because I knew vampires could run really fast and I was determinded to out run Edward. My shoulder was throbbing and pain shooting my arm. My mind was yelling at me to stop but I kept thinking how I caused my family to break apart and I didn't want that for Carlisle and them. Edward was yelling at me to stop so I came to a stop and he ran past but ran back towards me. What is it? He asked as he walked over to me. You told me to stop. I thought.Oh, sorry. I didnt think you were listening to me. He told me. Let's go backto the house. Edward demanded me. I shook my head no. Samantha, you can't do this. Edward said. Yes I can, why not? I thought. You can't live on your own, your just sixteen. He told me. Jacob left, why can't I? I thought.But he came back. Rosalie is finally thinking for someone else other than herself. He said. So, everyone will get over me and move on. I thought. Edward walked over to and grabbed my wast. He threw me over his shoulder. Before he could start running I was out of his arms and in a crouch down. Samantha, don't do this. I'm trying to help you. He pleaded. I didn't think or say anything. Samantha please just come home with me. Edward said. I couldn't put weight on my shoulder anymore. I just held it up off the ground. You need to get your shoulder checked out. He said. I know. It hurts really bad. I thought. Look put these on. Edward said handing me shorts and a tanktop.  I went behind some trees and shifted back to my human form. I put on the clothes and came back out to where Edward was. Can I look at your shoulder? He asked. Yes sir. I said. Please don't call me that. He said. I think I can your two hundred years older than me. I said smiling.Edward touched my shoulder and I winced from the pain and the coldness. Sorry. He said. It's okay. I'm sorry about earlier. I said. It's okay. I know this is hard for you. He told me. I looked down at my shoulder and noticed that it was purle and blue. The pain was getting worse and I didn't know how much more I could take before I would pass out. Edward, I'm  getting light-headed. I said scared to death.Okay, sit down and take deep breathes. He told me. I sat down and took deep breathes but it didn't help.Edward, I'm getting dizzy and my shoulder it feels like someone is stepping on it. I told him. He picked me up swiftly and ran towards the house. When we got there Carlisle wasn't there.
