I ran down the stairs and gave him a hug.

Come on Sam, you have to see the backyard! Alice said.
Okay. I said while laughing.
Alice always gave me the giggles when she was happy.
Alice covered my eyes and walked me out to the backyard.
She stood me in one place and then took her hands away from my eyes. When I open my eyes I heard a crowd of people yell surprise! I didn't have any words to say after everyone screamed surprise. Everyone that I had known of somewhat knew was here. Of course all of the Cullens were here along with the whole wolf pack and of course Matt was here. It was so beautiful outside the trees had little lights in them and the tables were under a big tent that didn't have any snow under. There was a fire that, I'm guessing Emmett built because he was throwing wood in there as I was looking at everyone. I felt someone put a jacket around me.

I pulled my arms iinto my jacket and zipped it up. My hair was down so I could put on my hat if I wanted to. I went around and told everyone thanks for coming and then I went and sat by Matt who, was sitting in front of the fire.

Pretty good. Oh I've missed you so much. I said giving him a hug.

How are things back home? I asked.
Pretty good, I see your brother almost everyday surfing. He said.

He put his arm around me and I layed my head on his shoulder. I saw a camera flash and for sure Alice was taking pictures.
I just smiled and than turned around to see Matt looking at me.

I blushed and said thanks.
I started thinking about the age difference it was big just by a year and a half so Matt was eightteen and I was finally seventeen.
Let's go get some cake. Matt said breaking my thoughts up.

We went and got some cake and then we went and sat back down by the fire.
I want to show you something. I said after we finished our cake

We walked a little bit into the woods and then I told Matt to stand in a spot and then I walked off further to shift.
I came back shifted in my wolf form and walked closer to Matt.

I gave a soft bark, hoping that he would know that the wolf was me.
Samantha, come on quit joking around, the woods are dangerous. He said.
I gave a softer bark this time almost wimpiering.Luckily Edward came into the woods.
Edward, please tell him that this is mean. I thought.
Matt, this is what Sam wanted to show you. Edward said.

I wimered again to let them know I was still here.
Matt glanced over at me again ad took off running towards the house. I slowly ran behind him but I didn't get to far until I felt I cold pair of arms around me. They wouldn't let me run out of the woods. I shifted back to my human self and put on a brave face for all of the guest that had come to celebrate my birhtday. I was smiling on the outside and about to break down on the inside.
Samantha, what's wrong? Jasper asked as he came up to me.
I cant talk about it right now. I'll start crying. I wispered.
Oh, okay. Come and get me when your ready to talk. He said.

Alice and Rosalie had a dance floor and I was yet to dance. Rose was dancing with Emmett and they looked so cute together. I went by the fire and sat down. There was stick near the fire so I started playing in the fire, I just played with all the ashes.
Samantha, you want to dance? Jacob asked.
Sure. I said.
He led me to the dance floor and Lucky by Jason Mraz came on and started playing. Alice and Rose had dine a fantastict job getting a playlist of all of my music.

I tried telling Matt what I was. I said.

No, he ran into the house. I said.

We were in the car coming from surfing, we hydroplaned. I didn't have anythig to do with that. I said.

But I won't hurt you or anyone, I haven't ever hurt anyone and I promise. I said.
Matt ended up walking away after I had sat down on the floor and started crying. He was the only guy that I had ever had really true deep feelings for and that isn't because of my wolf gene. I had always like him as a brother but I knew that I always had more feelig there than I or anyone knew about. I felt a pair of cold arms around me and pick me up. I continued to cry even once I was in my bedroom. How could I have such deep feelings for someone who didn't even care about me. Emmett was the one who had picked me up and carried ke upstairs to my room but somehow I managed to get out of his arms and run downstairs and shifting before he could catch me. I could hear Emmett telling me to stop, telling me that running isn't going to solve the problem. I knew that and so dis my shoulder. I was in elbow deep snow and was having a hard time to run. Even though I was a wolf I didn't have the hot gene in me so I got cold very soon. I nocticed that Emmett had stopped running after me. I finally had to stop because my shoulder was broken now, I had felt it snap, pop or whatever. I layed down by a tree and cried all night.
When I woke up the next morning I was lying in my own bed with blankets on top of me. I was still in my wolf form too. O tried to get up but I felt a pair of hot hands push me gently back down. I looked over and it was Jacob.
Take it easy, Samantha. He said to me.
I looked around and saw Emmett and Rose sitting in the corner of the room and Edward was by my side.
I'm sorry. I just freaked out and didn't know how to respond. I thought.
It's okay. Edward said.
What did she think? Emmett asked.
She said she is sorry for freaking out. Edward explained.
Oh, it's okay Samantha. Rose said.
Where's Matt? I thought.
He is downstairs. He doesn't know that your hurt. Emmett said.
I knodded my head so Emmett would know that I understood what he was saying. I was so cold, that the haleating pads that Carlisle had put under the blankets weren't working that great.
Jacob can you give her some of you body heat? Edward asked.
Jacob came over to me and lifted the covers and got underneath them.

I fell back asleep and sleept for a long time.
Your awake, that's great. Carlisle said.
Your going to be fine, you have a fever and you broke you shoulder but your going to heal. He said.
Can I shift to my human form. I asked but thought to Edward.
She wants to know if she can shift back. Edward said.
I would wait and change back when you shoulder is healed. It should only take two days max. Carlisle said.
Can I get up? I asked/ thought.
Can she get up? Edward asked for me.
You can see but I don't want you putting weight on you shoulder. Carlisle said.
Edward lifted the covers off of me and I stood up on my bed not putting any of my weight on my shoulder. Edward than lifted me off the bed so I wouldn't have to jump down.
