"Another note," she muttered, unfolding the crumpled paper. It only had two words on it;
Kowalski's next...
CC looked towards the intellegent penguin. He was looking around nervously, muttering to himself.
"They could drain my brain again! They... they could... destroy all memories of Jiggles! They.... they... they could... GIVE BLOWHOLE ALL MY INVENTION BLUEPRINTS!!!!!" He started pacing quickly. CC turned towards Private, who was trying to comfrot Skipper.
"Poor fellow," she muttered, going to sit next to Rico, who was doing absolutly nothing. She groaned, as a sudden wave of nausea washed over her. She rested her head on Rico's shoulder, and sighed.
"What is this sickness?" she asked herself. Rico only shrugged.
Suddenly, he grabbed her and jumped away, holding her in his flippers. A split second later, CC was on the ground, next to Rico, and a large, wooden object fell right where she had been sitting. Rico helped her to her feet, and they went over to investigate.
Kowalski was already there, as was Private and Skipper. Private pointed to some letters on the lid.
"What does it say?" he asked CC.
"To, Kowalski. Love from," she read.
"Love from who?" Skipper asked.
"It doesn't say," CC shrugged. She held out her flipper. "Rico, crowbar!"
Rico coughed up a crowbar, and it landed in her flipper. She gave it to Kowalski, who swallowed hard, and opened the box. CC, Skipper, Private, and Rico stepped back, as Kowalski peered into the box, and gasped loudly.
Inside the box, a dolphin body lay. Its face seemed trouble, but its eyes were closed. Kowalski recognised it as Doris, and small tears formed in his eyes. The dolphin looked like she was only sleeping, but her perfctely still figure told a different story. Kowalski reached out and touched her cold, smooth skin.
"So peaceful," he murmured, tears glistening in his dark, blue eyes. He touched the bunch of wihte roses in her flippers, with regret, then, sadly, turned away.
CC peered into the box, as if searching for something. She quickly snatched something out of the roses, as Skipper and Rico slammed the lid shut. CC unfolded the note she found, letting the flipper-full of petals she also grabbed fall to the ground. She looked over the note, and read it aloud.
Now, Rico...
