"I wonder if there's some kind of special antidote here which can help restore my father and uncles back to their normal heights.", thought Laura as she crossed the street. George looked around from the top of her head and said, "There's a sign pointing to the visitor center just next to us. Perhaps they'll provide the answer to that, Laura, darling." She then saw it and replied, "Okay, daddy George. I'm sure about that, too." Thankfully, it wasn't too far from their starting point. Once she went inside, the officer in charge at the inquiry desk said, "Hello there, young lady! What brings you...

Paul blinked as the last of the mist disappeared, wondering if he was seeing his surroundings wrong. What was he doing in his own kitchen in Scotland when he was supposed to be in New York saving John? Had the time travel even worked? For one brief, heart-stopping moment, Paul thought it hadn't and that all his excitement over the past few days had been for nothing, but then he realized the kitchen looked a little different. The furniture wasn't positioned exactly the same as it had been and the towels hanging up weren't the same ones he'd left that morning. Even the clothes Paul was wearing...

The Beatles and Laura found a cozy little coffee shop and decided to have lunch there. After getting a table for themselves, John and George went to order marinara pasta, iced coffee, and a grape smoothie for Laura. Unaware to them, however, one of the waiters was very disgruntled with his job and once he found out that the next order slip was for the mop-topped lads, he seized an attempt to sabotage their visit by lacing their coffee with a weird syrup-like ingredient which he had made prior to getting hired. As a result, their pasta and Laura's smoothie ended up being served first. John was...

Now that John, Paul, and Ringo were on board, everyone proceeded to their destination. Since there was no traffic, the ride only lasted for about two hours. The breeze also became cooler as George's car crossed the bridge connecting the small island and the mainland. "Here we are!", he exclaimed while they looked for a good venue for the concert. Laura remarked, "This place looks very peaceful, daddy George!" George replied, "It certainly does, me darling." Ringo told Paul, "You made such a good choice on where to hold our free gig, mate." He said, "Thanks again indeed! I think it's lovely...

The following morning, George woke up as his alarm clock rang, which he had set to 8:00 am earlier in the night. He then got up and turned it off before going to the bathroom to take a shower. Afterwards, he shaved, combed his mop-top, brushed his teeth, and wore a fresh set of clothes for the concert. Laura was still asleep by the time he had finished, so he decided to cook some pancakes, hoping that the smell will awaken her. And sure enough, it did! She proceeded to take her turn in freshening up and went straight to the dining table. George said, "Good morning, Laura, darling! Did you sleep...

July 8, 1957. Just four days left to somehow get Paul and John to meet.
My heart pounded as we neared the train on its platform, this time not only because Paul was holding my hand. This train was a lot bigger, bulkier, and scarier than the ones in my time, spewing black smoke into the air around it. I wasn’t sure I trusted it to take us all the way to Wales without breaking down or worse. And I didn’t know if we would be able to pull off jumping on the train without tickets. And I didn’t know for sure if John was even here. I kept glancing around the platform, looking to see if I could...

Finding the Beatles turned out to be easier said than done.
“What is this place?” gasped Emma, as the four girls and one dog stepped out the kitchen’s other entrance into what they had expected to be another room or a hallway.
Instead, the space was filled with any number of doorways and paths, each one twisting off in a different direction. Some of these hallways separated later on into other hallways, and most of them had multiple doors in the sides. The girls hadn’t realized how mazelike the house was before, because the front entrance led pretty straightforwardly into the kitchen....

Well, John thought to himself, hadn't Ringo and Paul, and now George, kept saying that they wanted to know more about the Beast? And John wouldn't mind knowing more himself, really. As long as he wasn't tired, why not do a little light reading and get to know their adversary?
The book turned out to be written in verse, several poems about mythical creatures. It was a thin volume and he turned easily to the page titled, "King Richard vs. the Beast of Bodmin Moor."

"Of all crusades Kind Richard faced,
The noblest by far,
To fight the Beast of Bodmin Moor,
And here his weapons are..."

And so it went;...

The tunnels were dirty and wet. At times the Beatles were wading through knee-deep water, and it was possible that their trousers and booties would never be the same again. This was, of course, also partly due to the fact that there wasn't a lot of opportunity for changing clothes on a Quest.
And yet, the Beatles felt happy. They were so near to their goal, but not quite near enough that they had to worry about battling a soul-sucking Beast just yet. And each Beatle now had a magical object on his side that was bound to protect him.
Every now and then, though, Paul would pull out the Titanium...

George looked determined. "We won't crash," he said, "not if I can help it!" And with that, he grabbed the first tool he could find - a pair of tweezers from the first aid kit - and made his way over to one of the windows, as purposefully as he could with the train's movement pitching him in all directions. John, Paul, and Ringo held on to each other and to any handles they could find on the train, trying to stop themselves from falling over, watching George desperately.
George made his way to a window and gave it a good kick. He had to do this a few times, but on the fourth try, his foot made...

The Beatles backed away from the crowd as it came closer, unsure of what it wanted. There was another street nearby, and they could turn onto that and hopefully lose this crowd. The boys backed into the street sign, turned around... only to see another group of people coming at them from down that street, too.
Acting on instinct, Paul pulled Ringo away, into the only clear place - the middle of the road. That was a safe enough place right now since no one was out driving cars, and Paul found himself thinking irrelevantly that this might make a good song title someday. John and George followed...

For the next week, I stayed with John. It was heaven for me, and I think John enjoyed my company, too. But my real reason for being here never left my mind.
On the first day, John introduced me to his music. He played me songs he'd recorded solo in the last couple of years, and they were so beautiful, but they made me cry. Then I asked to hear some Beatles songs, and John played me many of the earlier ones I didn't know yet on his guitar. "Misery" and "I Should Have Known Better" and "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help!" and "Eight Days a Week" and "It's Only Love" and "No Reply" and many more. I...

"So, what do you think, darling?", asked George as he and his mates finished rehearsing their message. Laura replied, "Well, it was fun and hilarious at the same time! I think you all did a fantastic job." George said, "Why, thank you, love! I'm glad you like it." The other Beatles smiled and nodded in agreement. Laura winked in return. John remarked, "Okay! This rehearsal was a success. Are ye ready to go and grab some lunch?" Ringo replied, "You bet we are! All that speaking has made me hungry." It was snowing again when they left the Studios and went to look for a place to eat. While walking, George gave Laura yet another ride on his shoulders as they stuck their tongues out to catch some snowflakes. John, Paul, and Ringo did the same. The group then found a diner offering holiday-themed meals and beverages and had a delicious lunch there. Afterwards, the rest of the day was spent with window shopping in one of the city's Christmas marketplaces.

We Meet Again, Girls

The Beatles and Laura went to have dinner at one of the restaurants just outside the Palace grounds after watching the sunset. While waiting for their food, John saw the same trio of fans sitting in another table close to them and exclaimed, "Well, well, well! Aren't those the birds who flocked towards you, Geo?" George, who was sitting next to his daughter, also saw the girls and remarked, "Why, yes. That's definitely them." They saw him as well and waved happily, to which he waved back. Laura did the same as well, and this led to one of them saying, "We didn't know you're...

The Search Is On!

John, Paul, and Ringo had been playing football in another area of the park when they saw George running towards them. Immediately sensing that something was wrong, Paul asked him, "Hey, Geo. Where's Laura?" George replied after taking a deep breath, "I hate to say this, but we accidentally got separated when this trio of girls swarmed me and she got carried away by a big crowd to who knows where." Ringo said, "Oh, dear. Poor Laura! I hope she isn't hurt by that crowd." George responded, "I hope so, too, Ritchie." Sparkie nodded in agreement. John said, "Well then, the search...

Sparkie Wows the Audience

The pet show kicked off with a bang, and all of the participating animals took turns in showing their talents. When it was now Sparkie's turn, the rest of the audience were quite amazed by how graceful he was, especially in the speed and agility challenges, and also because they had never seen a hedgehog join the show before. Laura cheered for him and exclaimed, "Go, go, Sparkie!" George added, "I have a feeling that he's going to win!" Sure enough, he was right. After getting the results ready, one of the judges announced, "The winner of the pet show is, wow this is...

Teamwork Pays Off

Everyone had a delicious pizza dinner as they celebrated their triumph. Laura said, "You know another secret to me and my team's victory?" George replied, "What is it, my dear?" She continued, "I motivated my teammates to work together to reach first place, especially in the group sports." George remarked, "Oh, that's veddy wonderful, Laura! Yes, teamwork is another key to winning there." John added, "Indeed. We're proud of you, love." Laura replied, "Thanks! I'd also like to thank you all again for the training you gave me and for boosting my confidence." Ringo replied, "It was our great pleasure, Laura! We're always happy to help our sweet girl." They then had another big group hug. After finishing their dinner, the Beatles and Laura returned home to rest for the night, and George displayed her medal near the framed photos with his daughter.

THE END
John's Retort Challenge

The next morning while the Beatles and Laura were having breakfast, George asked, "So, what is that splendid thing that happened the other day?" Ringo replied, "Well, we won a raffle for five tickets to this recently-opened water park called Splash World. It's located in Richmond." George remarked, "Wow! That sounds exciting." John replied, "It is, indeed!" Laura said, "For sure! It's also going to be the perfect place to practice my swimming." "You got that right, my dear!", responded George. John then said, "I've got an idea to help boost your confidence, Laura." She...
