I've never done this before, I'll try to keep it short and simple, so here I go! I would just like to say thank you to the judges and for all their hard work organizing this event and thank you to everyone who participated! Thanks to everyone who voted for me. I would also like to thank Dave Lu, because without him their would be no 'Dave Lu Humanitarian' award. You are all beautiful, wonderful people! I am honored that you would even think of me for this. Everyone's a winner in my books. :)

All the other nominees for this award, Ineedcoffee, Cammie, Cinders, and Amazondebs are all amazing Fanpoppers and have been nice to me ever since I came to Fanpop, which was about ten months ago. Fanpop is was one the friendliest websites I've ever been on, yes it is. I was surprised I got this award - I never knew I was that nice.

This is my first Fanpoppy ever, I'm thankful that I got it. Remember everyone, good words cost no more than bad. That's all I have to say!

Why I Loved the Fanpoppies

So, I didn't win anything. I wasn't even nominated for anything. At first I was a little sad, I mean it was an award show!
But then I started thinking how I loved the whole process: browsing Fanpop frenetically (more than usual) in search of that Spot or User that makes everything in Fanpop worth it. I loved going to what felt like millions of spots looking for the best banner, the best fan art and all those things that make each spot as unique and amazing as the next one.

I also loved searching users, seeing all the wonderful content they submitted and how original and hard working they are....

This is a transcription of the acceptance speech that would have been given by Chel1395 at the Fanpoppy Awards Ceremony, February 23, 2008. Unfortunately, the ceremony was disrupted by a surprise Smurf blitz attack and Chel was knocked unconscious during the ensuing chaos. She is still in the hospital recovering. Donations towards her hospital bill are welcome.

Good evening everyone! (or morning for some). We apologize for the interruption in the award ceremonies. We would like to assure you that Eden is in fact safe and unharmed. Dazl's smurf army is guarding her, and Hooch is being detained until he promises to find some unsuspecting MySpacer to terrorize instead. Hopefully you've all taken this opportunity to mingle amongst yourselves and make use of the open bar.
