The Heroes of Olympus Question

Has the amount of reading you do ever been affected by the Percy Jackson or The Heroes of Olympus series?

Yeaaaaa this is random, but I was just wondering. Honestly for me I didn't really read much, then I ment Percy Jackson........ and look at me now. I started the series in 6th grade and I had just finished Son of Neptune like two days before Mark of Athena came out, so, I really didn't have to wait at all (yes this past year was the first I have ever spent waiting for a book, so you can only imagine) and ever since I read MoA, I've been reading like a madman. Again I was just wanted to know about you guys. :3

Me too! Hated reading as a kid. Reading was skimming and scanning and snoring. Then, in grade 4 as a class read, my teacher picked Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I loved it, but I didn't get to reading it until grade six. Took me the whole school year to read that one series. Eventually over the summer, I got too buy my first book, The Heroes of Olympus: TLO
Now, I'm reading at every corner. And fangurling which annoys my friends. My only regret is not reading earlier. 8)
