-Chapter 2-
"Hey! You brought back another worm to disect!" A man called when we walked into the cave. I shuddered at the thought and Wanda hissed at him. He backed up.
"No, Brandt. God, you've been such an ass since Windy died. Do you really want Lissy to see her father doing this?" Melanie asked, smirking. Brandt growled.
His movements were quick. He ran up to her, smacking her with the back of his palm. She slapped him back, but with a faster movement. Jared quickly jumped infront of them, pinning Brandt in a headlock. I held onto Wanda's arm, worriedly. She patted my hand, telling me it was going to be alright.
When Jared and Brandt got up, Wanda took Brandt's hand and took him over to me. She looked at both me and him, smiling.
"Brandt, this is Starlight. She will be taking care of Lissy for you." Brandt's eyes were fixed in a glare.
"I can take care of my own daughter by myself!" He screamed, pushing me down onto the ground. Shocks of pain wrentched through my body, and icy cold tears sprung out of my eyes, and dripped down my cheeks. I got up, and ran.
I could hear footsteps behind me. They were fallowing me the moment I turned and ran out of the room. I had found a room that looked like a washroom, and sat in a corner near the entry way.
"Starlight?" Wanda's soft voice called. This host was always a loud crier, so you could hear me. She walked into the room, sat next to me and hugged me in the darkness.
"He didnt mean it, he's just so upset about Windy." She tightened her hug and then let me go. She smiled, but I could barely see it.
"You know, most people here dont know you. You could go by your Origin name!" She giggled. I smiled.
"That would be nice. Barely any souls are aloud to use their Origin names." I smiled. I loved my Origin name, but the Bears wouldnt let me use it. "You need a name like ours," they would say.
"Its so nice to be around you again, Starlight....er, Kamali," Wanda said.
I laughed. "Do you think the others would like me?" I asked.
"Of course, youre wonderful!" She laughed.
"Yeah, yeah. Say whatever you want to say."
We sat in silence for a few seconds. Then someone came into the room. It was Brandt. He was holding a little baby, about the size of a melon. He looked at me, and me and Wanda stood up.
"This is Lissy."
