Wanda making out with Jared and Ian to save Melanie

The scene of Wanda kissing Ian and almost immediately making out with Jared was intense and I liked it. I mean I didn’t like the part when Ian starts kissing Wanda and she didn’t feel that overwhelm and he had to go find Jared. But at the same time I liked it. People must think that that was Wanda’s fault for not responding but it wasn’t. It was Melanie who didn’t responded because the only one that could bring her back was Jared.

When Jared kissed Wanda you could see the great love that Mel and Jared had for each other. Jared knew that Mel was there. He was determinate to find her, no matter what. He loved her and he was kissing her not Wanda. Wanda got carried away but not because she loved Jared more than Ian but because of the strong memories that Melanie had given her so long ago.

The love that Ian had for Wanda went beyond jealousy and hate. He knew what had to be done and he did it. He also knew that he didn’t love the body, but the soul inside it, Wanderer.

kttykatkate I had to smile at Ian's reaction to Wanda telling her to kiss him at that part and then it was slightly difficult because I was mortified for Wanda, understanding completely her embarrassment at telling Jared to kiss her, and her fear that he would think it was just a trick to get him to kiss her. But I was extremely happy that it did bring Mel back. And I'm surprised people would blame Wanda for Melanie not coming back at Ian's kiss- how could it possibly have been Wanda's fault?

chillibanana11 it was funny wen he was telling him to kiss her like hes trying to get slapped i laughed but the rest was intense and kinda devastating

redkie lol i knew she was going to do that and throw the whole part i felt emberased for her and sad for Ian cause he understood how she felt for jared i loved ian cor his power of loving wander not the body too that scored big points in my fandom !!

peanutbutter111 I loved that part , liek the intensity of it all. I loved the way Ian had the idea of dragging Jared there to get Melanie back despite his objections to it. he didnt want melanie back so then he would think that Wanda would like him more than jared and she could decide whether she liked Ian or not without melanie in the way but he did it anyway

wanderingk One of my favorite parts in the book(though if I read it I will start laughing because its so embarassing for the guys) is when Ian, Jared and Jamie all get granola bars for Wanda/Melanie and then Kyle is like "Whers the food?" omg. Also when Wanda kisses Jared and Jared kisses Melanie is so emotional. I love when she bites him.

thehostfan1 I also agree! It shows that Ian not only cares for wanda, but for Mel too, in a sorta respectful way, he cared mostly for wanda's feelings though! He knew how much Mel meant too her and he even undertook the jealousy for her! he's soooo sweet! I felt so bad for him! After all he did, he didn't deserve to see his true love making out with the man he was jealous of... :{

The_Host_Fandom This was one of my favorite scenes! I love Jared's desire to get Melanie back. I had butterflies in my stomach the entire time I was reading this scene.

tWiLiGht_lUVEr1 Poor Ian, just wanted Wanda to be overwhelmed with love, but when he saw that it was not going to happen anytime soon, he did the right thing. He brought Jared over and brought Melanie back. But, boy, for a second there, you had to think.... when Ian's kiss didn't overwhelm Wanda and he hatched a new idea for Wanda to be overwhelmed, was Jared the first thing to pop into your mind... or something else?
