The Hunger Games Question

Why do you like The Hunger Games?

A while ago now, my mum asked me why I, and so many other people my age, like Hunger Games. I was honestly stumped. I really like the trilogy, and the movie, but I actually can't think why. So now I'm curious as to why others like it

It's just simply amazing!
The books and the movie, I Think it's
because it has everything you can get into
and it also got some truth behind it. The cast
were picked perfectly too!
Suzanne has done a perfect job at just
creating Panem and all of it.

Katniss mostly :)

The books are addicting as hell! The plot is very interesting, as well. It's very 1984/Battle Royale-esque and I LOVE that.

I love how Katniss is a total bad ass and takes matters in her own hands. Now-a-days a lot of books/movies aren't like that. The totally bad ass strong girlsare usually sidekicks (i.e Hermione, Amy Pond, ect). Katniss is the strongest character in the entire series, despite the fact that there's two strong guys on her side. I ADORE that. Books/films that have girls as the protagonist are usually preachy and cliche. I love how Hunger Games portrays Katniss. Women are always portrayed as lovey-dovey girls who let their men do all the work. Katniss pushes the idea of love and romance aside and puts her family first. Her connection with Prim is just amazing!

As you can see I fucking love Katniss ♥

I watched the movie first not knowing what to expect...GREAT movie AND book! :-D it's unique, funny, clever and a good plot story and by it stating: "Rich people watching poor kids 'killing' each other for 'entertainment???! That's MADNESS!! It's a big lesson learnt for the Capitol (so far...) the movie seems like a 'dream' because its 'twisted' I LOVE twisted movies/shows! Once Upon A Time is a VERY 'twisted show' I LOVE it!!! :-D
