I mean for a crime other than Scar's. Fanfiction is fun fun fun! But the bottom line is; in movie making if anything gets complicated, it would be somewhat or extremely directly explained - NOT hidden behind hints.

Even the director of TLK2 says "the seeds of it are in the first film". (In the Making of documentary "Proud of Simba's Pride".) And the last time I checked, no crimes happen in that film apart from the one committed by Scar. And because the second film did not specify any crime other than the one Scar committed, that's...

In the original script (which was started 2-3 years before Simba's Pride was released) there were no Outlanders. It was only Zira (then known as Bianca), Kovu, and the three hyenas. In this script, Kovu was Scar's son. This was changed because if Zira was Scar's mate, then why would she team up with the hyenas, who killed Scar. They also had to change the fact of Kovu being Scar's son because that would be bordering on incest. (It would make Kovu and Kiara second cousins.)

I really wonder how do people see "so many plot holes"? Because I can see ONLY TWO and even they are relative.

A plot hole is something that causes the plot or a part of the plot to not add up or to not make sense. These two movies don't have such, as all you have to do is pay attention to what is said and how it is said, and at some points to use common sense.

Did the Disney studio steal Kimba The White Lion and rework it as their 'original story', The Lion King? They certainly give that impression with their corporate stance ('we never heard of Tezuka nor Kimba until after The Lion King was released'). And why would they have filed suit to try to prevent the showing of Tezuka Productions' 1997 Jungle Emperor Leo movie at the 1998 Toronto FantAsia Film Festival? (Jungle Emperor was the original title for Kimba The White Lion.) It seems quite simple; Kimba had been kept out of sight in North America for 20 years by that time.
