Throughout the course of so many years, every tv special brings us new muppets, and with so many now, I thought I'd do a list of 30 of them
1. Kermit: So he might not exactly know how to defend himself against Miss Piggy's karate chops, but one thing's for sure: he is the voice of reason and is the type who never gives up, well unless you count the time Tex Richman forced him and his friends to leave in the 2011 movie, other than that, he never gives up.
2. Fozzie: His jokes might not very many laughs, but like Kermit, he never gives up.
3. Gonzo: If any group of characters needs an unidentifiable creature, this guy is certainly it.
4. Miss Piggy: No matter how violent she is, what's not to like about Miss Piggy? Despite being violent, she also has her sensitive side. This was true when she tried to win over Kermit's sympathy in The Great Muppet Caper. But when we got Muppet Treasure Island in 1996, she was trying too hard to win over Kermit's sympathy, which annoyed me as a kid. But who's to say Miss Piggy isn't my favorite muppet? Because she is.
5. Statler and Waldorf: Fozzie wouldn't be where he is today if it weren't for these guys. Sure, this might not make much sense, but it does to me.
6. Uncle Deadly: Everybody knows the Muppets aren't complete without this guy. Sure, it's not easy to identify what he is, but still.
7. Wayne and Wanda: Every troupe needs a singing duo who have a love of opera and who better to pick than these two.
8. Scooter: Every one needs a smart assistant and Kermit couldn't of picked a better person than Scooter. This guy is willing to do anything you ask him to.
9. Bobby Benson: So he's one of the least recognized muppets, but there's no reason he can't be on this list.
10. Marvin Suggs: This guy is by far one of the secondary minor characters that you can't help but like.
11. Sweetums: This guy might be menacing and might of have been on the villains side in movies like The Frog Prince and Muppet Treasure Island, but eventually he transitioned to the good guys side over the years and has remained on the good guys side ever since.
12. Bunsen: Nothing can even begin to compare to this guy and Beaker, unless you count Phil van Neuter and Mulch.
13. Phil van Neuter: Following Jim Henson's death in 1990, we got introduced to one of many new characters in Muppets Tonight and this guy was one of them. It's a shame we might not see him nowadays, with Brian Henson retiring the company.
14. Bobo: Bobo was another Muppets Tonight character we got introduced to in 1996. Unlike other Muppets Tonight characters, him and Pepe were the only ones who qualified for the 2011 film due to them being popular among fans.
15. Lew Zealand: Of all the odd balls in the muppets gang, there's no one as odd as this guy.
16. Sam Eagle: Statler and Waldorf might have their fair share of being grumpy, but Sam takes the cake for not only being grumpy, but also being serious.
17. Clifford: Even with films like Muppets from Space and Muppets Wizard of Oz, of which he both appeared in, those films didn't seem to help him much after his little incident in Muppets Tonight.
18. Floyd: This guy has got the best sideburns ever. Like, seriously, what did he do to get them to grow that long?
19. Zoot: If anyone needs a silent laid back sax player, no one fits that description better than the Electric Mayhem.
20. Janice: She is that beach loving female that is best represented in everyone.
21. Animal: Sure he's unpredictable and short tempered, but underneath those sharp teeth and that wild red fur, he's a softie at heart much like Sweetums.
22. Johnny Fiama: Him and Sal are possibly the best example of a human and animal being friends and not many muppet duos can come close to that.
23. Sal Minella: Like many new characters we received in Muppets Tonight, we got not only Dr. Phil van Neuter, Pepe, Bobo, Johnny Fiama, and Bill the Bubble Guy, but we also got this guy. But like Clifford, Johnny, and Phil van Neuter, his fame was short lived.
24. Crazy Harry: Every troupe has at least one person of mixed personalities- grumpy(Statler and Waldorf), serious(Sam), smart(Scooter, Bunsen, and Phil van Neuter), and goofy(Lew Zealand and Beauregard), but there is none as great as wild and insane(Crazy Harry). This guy is a mix of both, with uncombed hair and a passion for blowing things up.
25. Dr. Teeth: No one can even begin to compare to his level of awesomeness, well except Mahna Mahna and Floyd, but that's besides the point.
