For the past year, I have thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of watching episodes of my favorite shows on your website. I found it to be incredibly convenient, especially since I work in the evenings and occassionally have to miss an airing of one of my favorite shows (Heroes and The Office top that list, by the way). I was so pleased with your website that I was even willing to sit through those annoying commercials you force me to watch. And I ESPECIALLY loved the fact that you play the same commercial roughly 4 or 5 times per episode (at least on TV, we get some variety).
Then, I found out that the writers, actors, and directors... basically, the people who are responsible for those wonderful episodes that you've made so much money from, don't get a cut of any of the ad revenue from internet showings of their own creations.
I have to wonder where that kind of logic comes from. Did it ever even occur to you that without writers, there is no show in the first place? That maybe they deserve some comensation for their hard work? What you have done by withholding revenue from these people is simple theft. You've taken their work, made money from it, and refused to pay them for it. And what exactly have you network executives done to deserve these revenues? You're the same people that overloaded my television with Deal or No Deal (and I still haven't forgiven you for that, FYI).
Therefore, until the writer's strike has been resolved and the people who are really behind Heroes, The Office, and all the other shows that I love so much are receiving fair compensation for their work, I will not be viewing any episodes from your website.
You can't make money from the internet if no one's watching."
