At one point, during Doug MacRay's interview in the interrogation room, where Ofcr. Dino Ciampa was also present, and Dino says to Doug after mentioning that he knew his father and heard what happened to him, Dino says, casually, to Doug "Maybe you can make a move to change all that when YOU get up there." Doug then gets angry and says "Let me ask you something. What do you say about a person that you've grown up with, confided your life stories to that person, etc., and they turn around and use it against you? You call him a rat, right? You know what I call him? I call him Dino the dago." Inotherwords, Doug MacRay insulted Dino because he was of Italian ancestry.

This, imho, also indicates the kind of person that Doug MacRay really is; he's also a racist in his own right, on top of his sociopathic criminal behavior, whether people believe it or not. Hey...if I'D been that cop, I would've had Doug taken down, booked him, and saw to it that he got caught and put in the slammer for a long time. Doug MacRay also deserved a good smash in the mouth for insulting Ofcr Dino Ciampa's ethnic background, AND to be pointedly reminded of the indignities that the Irish Catholics suffered when they first came here to the United States, and to Boston in particular, not to mention all the disgusting insults that were hurled at THEM as well. Just my opinion.
