The final season is almost here, with only a couple of days to go. It's time for death predictions!

This article contains comic book spoilers. Lots of 'em. You've been warned. Furthermore I only focused on big deaths.

CHARACTERS I'M SURE WILL DIE:

LUKE AND/OR MAGNA:
When: If both die, it's not gonna be at the same time. Either during 11B or 11C.
Why: Because it's still the only group unaffected since they showed up a full two seasons ago. Yumiko is pretty much taking on Michonne's story, so she's safe. I don't see them reuniting the sisters only to kill one of them off. That leaves these two.

Luke is an easily forgettable character (sorry Dan Fogler, whom I actually like!), so it's an easy character to just kill off whenever a death is needed. As for Magna, like I mentioned, Yumiko is becoming important, so Magna's death could happen to push her into that direction even more.
How: For Luke, I could see him die to walkers as easily as die to say, The Reapers. For Magna, I see her go down fighting, probably killing a couple of enemies before her demise.

EZEKIEL:
When: Probably more near the end. Most likely in 11C.
Why: Because he's sick, like very sick. And yes, at the Commonwealth they most likely have doctors and lots of medicine that could probably treat him or whatever. But he already has out-lived his comic book counterpart, and they do need big deaths for the last season.
How: Either because of his sickness, or just going to town on walkers until he dies out of frustration over his impending doom.

GABRIEL:
When: Whenever
Why: It's mostly wishful thinking at this point. Can he just die already! I've been wanting him to die since he showed up on the show. I never liked him, and I hate him more with each season. I just want him to die!
How: I don't even care. Just die.

CHARACTERS I THINK MIGHT DIE, BUT I'M STILL NOT SURE:

PAMELA:
When: The end of the series.
Why: She doesn't die in the graphic novel, so she could totally also survive in the show. But I wouldn't put it past them to kill her off in the show, because she's a villain and people like to see villains get killed.
How: Murdered.

MAGGIE:
When: Final episode, before the epilogue.
Why: Because the graphic novel, before the epilogue, ends with Rick dying, and Carl having to put his walker-self down. Now, if Rick was still around I would have thought it would end the same way. I do think they will keep that story in, but they obviously need another character.

They need a big huge character. Michonne is already gone. Daryl and Carol are both safe because of the spinoff. That leaves Maggie. In my opinion, she will be the one to fill in for Rick as the big ending death.

If Daryl wasn't getting a spinoff, I would 100% have predicted he gets this death though.
How: Killed by Sebastian, Pamela's son, because he's a little shit and is threatened by the leadership quality that could overtake his mother (and is afraid to lose the perks of being the Governor's son).

CHARACTERS I THINK ARE COMPLETELY SAFE:
This is a new category.

CAROL AND DARYL:
Why: Because they have a spinoff, so pretty much everyone could die during the final season, except for these two.

Unless, of course, they are total monsters that pretend there's a spinoff just to lure us into thinking they are safe.

I don't trust AMC anymore, but they obviously didn't go that far!

NEGAN:
Why: This opinion is completely non-show related. The reason why I think Negan is the character, other than the other two mentioned above, that I believe will absolutely make it to the end is that:

When the comic book ended in July 2019, Kirkman ended his 3-page long letter to the fans with "P.S. Negan Lives". Also, at New York Comic-Con 2019, he said that Negan was his ultimate favorite character and that he always refused to kill him no matter what. Kirkman is the creator of The Walking Dead, and even if he is not the showrunner, he is still part of the writing crew. I highly doubt he will allow them to kill off Negan in the series.

IF, and that is a big IF. IF they do kill him, I would think he would take Dwight's death from the comic. Meaning he would die near the end, during an attempt to take over Governor Milton. That is the only way I can see him go if they somehow convinced Kirkman to let him go.

I feel like my instinct is not as sharp with this season though, so I might be completely wrong on that one. It is the last season after, they could literally do anything *shrugs*.
