Tim Burton Question

Any opinions on Burton's display at the Moma?

I'm a journalist from Bogotá;, Colombia and I work in Semana magazine, which is a pretigious publication in the country with 2 million readers and 300 thousand spread, one of the most important general interest magazines in Latin America. We are currently interested in writing a story on Tim Burton at Moma and the director as an artist.

Could someone help me?

I think it's great that this is going on. I mean now we can see some of his drawing for ourselves which is by far pretty cool and then plus if I'm not mistaken some artwork for some of the animations he directed is there too. I am hopeing to go there myself which should not be too long of a ride from where I am so if I go I'll tell about what I saw and stuff like that.

I went to visit the art exhibit just yesterday at Moma, and I have to say that it was truly amazing, although I was slightly disappointed at the way they set it up. They did not plan well enough, it was so crowded that you could hardly move around with out having someone push you, nevermind actual get to examine a piece of art. Other than that though it was very nice, and I would like to go through again, but unfortunately can't.

Well, I can't say my opinion on the exhibition at MOMA, but I can talk about the exhibition at ACMI in Australia.

First of all, it was AMAZING!!! Even Tim said himself the setup was better, and the lighting was darker (that being a good thing) compared to MOMA.

I was though disappointed with the amount of things on display. Don't get me wrong, the sketches were brilliant, and also the characters on display. But I thought they would show more costumes. All they had was Edward Scissorhand's costume, the headless horsemans cape, Batman's mask, Catwomans outfit, Alice's blue dress and curtain dress, and Tarrant's costume. I was looking forward to seeing Mrs. Lovett's dresses, Beetlejuice's jacket, etc. So I was let down in that respect, but other than that, I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9.5 out of 10!!!
