“DiNozzo, look at the clock it’s 4:30 you’re going to be late.” Gibbs said as he entered the bullpen.
“But boss, we have the suspect in interrogation and I have to finish last week’s case report before I go.” Tony said in distress as he sat at his desk.
“Dorneget can take this suspect, gut feeling he’s not the one. Plus, these things only happen every so often and Ziva would not want you to be late. You know how she is.” Gibbs said as Tony nodded and grabbed his gear to head for the elevator.

Tony put the key in the door and unlocked it. He dropped his bag next Ziva’s and placed his gun in the safe right where his wife’s gun was also located. The house smelled of lasagna, something his wife only cooked on special occasions and when she had the time to make it. It was a DiNozzo family recipe, something Tony’s mother had made him long ago but he forgot about it when he shoved most of his memories of her under the rug. But marriage is a funny thing, it changes a person, and it changed Tony for the better. He uncovered a lot of memories of his mother and shared them with the love of his life and he was thankful that this lasagna was back in his life. Plus, Ziva was a fantastic cook so it made it even better.
“Ziva, you made lasagna! If this is what I come home too every time you take a day off from work then maybe you should just stay at home!” Tony yelled into the seemingly empty house. From up the stairs Ziva yelled in response “ I know you want me to stay home more often, but I love our job and you love me working with you. We’ve talked about this before. Maybe with number two I will.”
“Where are my two angels?!” Tony said as he loosened his tie and walked up the stairs.
“In our bedroom” Ziva said as he reached the top of the stairs. Tony walked into their bedroom and noticed the king size bed had been made but there were creases on the comforter and the “Cinderella” DVD menu on the big flat screen TV, which indicated Ziva and Adeline had snuggle time today. Tony loved when Adeline had mommy snuggle time, because once they put her down it meant snuggle time for abba later. In the adult version though, of course.
“ABBA!” Adeline squealed as she ran out of the master bedroom and wrapped her small frame around Tony’s right leg.
Adeline was now four- where the past four years had gone Tony wasn’t sure, but now as Ziva was newly pregnant with their second child their lives were in constant change. Adeline was built just like her mother in frame, had Ziva’s nose, and Ziva’s warrior spirit. She had Tony’s grin, the capability to make Ziva give into her every command like Tony, and she had Tony’s colored hair. Ziva was never really sure how the recessive genes won on this baby, but she had Ziva’s curls. She was the best combination of both her parents.
“Hey sweetie! Look at you all dolled up in pink for your recital tonight.” Tony said as he squatted and kissed her cheek as she wrapped her hands around his neck.
“Adeline, come back here, we have to finish getting you ready so we can eat and make it to the theatre on time!” Ziva said as she appeared out of the bathroom. Tony looked at her and smiled. Ziva was a beautiful woman, and how Tony landed her he was not quite sure. He loved in her in every fashion: when she first woke up, right before she went to bed, he even loved the angry Ziva. His favorite look though he discovered on her was when she was 4 months pregnant with Adeline and was just starting to show and she had this glow about her presence all the time. It never ceased to put a smile on Tony’s face and that look she had made him swear to her that they would have as many babies as they could. Ziva just laughed at the thought but so far the plan was four.
Tony was grinning at her as she smiled. “Hi Tony.” Ziva said as she leaned against the doorframe into the bathroom.
“Hi, Sweetcheeks.” He replied as he walked closer and placed his hands on her stomach. “How are you two?”
“Well since we have had the day off we have cleaned the house, picked up your suits from the dry cleaners, made a successful dinner, and we even got some snuggle time in. I am very productive when I am here and not at the office.” Ziva said as Tony kissed her cheek.
“Well maybe with number two on the way we can discuss a more permanent situation of the events that occurred today.” Tony said.
“We shall see, but I have to finish her curls and we need to eat so we can make it to the theatre. I see Gibbs sent you home early, otherwise you would have forgotten.” And with that Ziva took Adeline back into the bathroom to finish her curls.
“ I will go set the table then and get everything ready to eat so we can go.”

After the sit down family meal- something both Ziva and Tony never had as children, and swore that they would do as often as they could, Tony took Adeline up stairs to finish her attire.
“I swear Adeline, you have so much pink. Pink walls, pink blankets, pink stuffed animals. Your mom needs to stop buying you pink!” Tony said as he carried his daughter into her room.
“Abba my tights are over der in da drawer, Imah told me.” Adeline said as she took off her shirt.
“Okay, let’s get your tights on and your tutu on. We have to go!” Tony said as he heard ziva cleaning the dishes.
“Gwanpa is comin right?” She said as Tony watched her struggle to get the tights on.
“Grandpa would not miss it for the world.” Tony said as she smiled and wiggled into her tutu.
“Come on angel, lets go get mommy and go.”

“See you later Abba!” Adeline said as she walked back stage to join the other girls in all their pink attire.
“I do not think there is a female on this earth who loves pink more than she does.” Tony said as he took Ziva’s hand in hers as they walked to their seats.
“When I was her age, Ari hated pink, which only made me love it more. My entire room was pink. Then Tali was born, and my father made me move out of that room for her. I always loved pink myself, so I can understand her love. Plus, she is only four she may outgrow it. Who knows she may be the best basketball player in high school. We just have to let her make her own choices in life. Okay DiNozzo?” Ziva said as she squeezed his hand. Both of their childhoods had been far from normal, and with their own family they swore they would raise their children with he childhood they never had. So far, Tony and Ziva were living the dream and it was each day getting better.
Tony and Ziva took their seats with the seat next to Ziva still empty.
“I wonder where the boss is at. If he forgot she will be crushed.” Tony said.
“He said he will be here, it starts in five minutes.” Ziva said.
Three minutes later, Gibbs in his stealth mode appeared in the seat.
“Hey Ziver, DiNozzo.” Gibbs said as he kissed Ziva’s cheek.
“She’s so excited to see you.” Ziva said, and at that moment the lights went dim.
“Now ladies & gentleman welcome to the Dance Company of DC and the yearly recital. First ladies that are up are the four year olds! Please enjoy the show.”
“Ziver- You are radiant as ever, congratulations on another baby. “ He whispered in her ear.
“How do you know?!” She replied.
“A father’s intuition.” He said as he slapped the back of Tony’s head.
“DiNozzo, you could have told me.” Gibbs whispered to him.
“Sorry boss, maybe next time.” Tony said as Ziva elbowed him in the stomach.
The sound of a faint piano score started to play and the little dancers made their way onto the stage. Tony and Ziva smiled and interlocked hands as they noticed Adeline on the stage with her curls in her face and pink tutu. Gibbs looked over and smiled at his two kids, so happy with the life they were creating for themselves. He then looked up to Adeline and smiled at her, she grinned when she noticed her grandpa in the first row. The music changed to a faster tempo and the dancers started their choreography.
Tony looked at his wife and smiled, and then back up to his daughter. He placed his hand over Ziva’s small stomach and knew things could only get better from here.
