Hey guys, just need to write down my thoughts before they run away.

Okay, so we're all wondering "WHY IS TONY WILLING TO BE WITH EJ AND NOT ZIVA?". In my mind, Tony is trying to cling desperately to his old self, because let's face it, it's what he (and us, no doubt) are used to. The skin is comfortable (or at least, it used to be, until he rescued Ziva from Somalia). EJ is like the skin. From the beginning, Ziva has always challenged him to be a man (remember, Identity Crisis and Internal Affairs, especially?) She doesn't want him to change, she just wants him to take on some responsibility...

Sorry this took awhile, DaveX had me juggling whether or not to continue! All right, this was posted on Fanfiction.net before that thing happened. Oh, DaveX, if you read this, I do this for fun. Restraining orders against fans would just lose popularity in the show. Wow, you're stupid (still talking to Dave, guys.)

Tony finally works up the courage to ask his boss. "Um, Gibbs?"
"What, DiNozzo?" Gibbs snaps. Tony takes a step back.
"I just wanted to know if you could let me... break... one of the rules."
The atmosphere immediately changes. "Rule 12?"
"How did you guess?"
"That's the rule people always...
