This may have started with some hardcore punk quotes that only Trainspotting fans will get – something like “Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact discs...” that would then strategically end up with “Choose great UK TV series. Choose Crime by Irvine Welsh”, but that would feel utterly fake after having consciously endorsed the fucking big television side of things.
