Guys, I'm really sorry this chapter took so long to be posted but my internet decided to take a holiday last wednesday and came back today. So for that I'm posting two chapters on.
Enjoy.

I woke in the morning alone. I wasn’t surprised. Edward wouldn’t have come back in case Charlie decided to pop his head around the door. I wondered if Charlie hadn’t come to my room, how far would Edward have gone. I was pondering this while I looked for some breakfast. Charlie had gone to work early. Someone needed to speak to him at the station. He was running around in a rush and looked kind of panicked. When he wouldn’t tell me what was going on I tried to read his mind but there was a kind of barrier blocking me from entering his mind. It didn’t really matter to me. It was probably some kind of confidential thing or he was lying to me and really sneaking off to have breakfast with some woman. I hoped it was the confidential thing. It would be weird seeing Charlie dating. And gross.
When I couldn’t find anything quick to eat, I lounged on the sofa. I was planning to go upstairs and possibly think about contemplating revising when there was a knock on my door. Sighing, I stood up. This person had interrupted my thinking about planning to go upstairs and possibly contemplate about doing some revision. The person knocked again and I opened the door.
In front of me was an incredibly gorgeous male. No, I was not talking about Edward. Yes, I know what you’re thinking. Who could be as gorgeous as Edward? The answer was this male in front of me. He looked to be about eighteen or nineteen, was as tall as Jacob and probably built like Jacob too. I looked up into his bright, piercing blue eyes and felt like I was incredibly stupid. This guy felt like a god to me and I had no idea why. Golden blond hair framed his face and some hair fell into his eyes.
“Hi,” he said. He smiled and I stumbled back a bit. Seriously, this guy could be Edward’s twin. Not in looks, but I swear his smile just dazzled me. “My name’s Mitchell. I’m looking for Michaela Swan.”
His voice was very seductive and enticing. I couldn’t help but be lured to him. I even moved closer to him. As close as I could get without touching him.
Michaela Swan? He was looking for Michaela Swan? I must distract him so he doesn’t think about her and I can have him. She can’t have him, he is mine, he is – wait. I’m Michaela Swan. He’s looking for me!
“I’m Michaela,” I replied. This guy was good. He actually made me forget my own name.
His smile widened and my knees went weak.
“I need your help, Michaela,” he spoke softly. “I need to find your father. Is he here?”
“No,” I shook my head, dumbly. “He’s at the police station. He had to speak to someone.”
Mitchell nodded. His blue eyes looked secretive and smug but at this particular moment I didn’t care.
“Thank you.” He picked up my hand and brought it to his lips. An electric shock went through my whole arm when his lips touched my skin. But it was a good electric shock. A nice one.
BEEP! BEEP BEEP! BEEP!
My senses came back and I yanked my hand away. I had a boyfriend who I was deeply in love with and who was hammering on the horn of his car right now. Mitchell smiled mischievously at me and turned around. I heard a car door slam and I knew that Edward was walking angrily towards Mitchell.
Edward appeared next to Mitchell.
“Kayla,” Edward smiled warmly at me but it did not reach his eyes. “How are you this morning?”
“Great,” I smiled, trying to sound innocent but I bet he was reading everything that my mind was confessing to him. Not purposefully, of course. I was thinking about what had just happened with Mitchell. “This is Mitchell. He was looking for Charlie. ” I turned to Mitchell. “Mitchell, this is Edward.”
“Hello Edward.” Mitchell offered his hand to Edward but Edward just looked down his nose at it. I could see the jealousy radiating off Edward in strong thick vibrations.
“Nice to meet you too,” Mitchell said sarcastically.
“Wish I could say the same,” Edward replied, casually.
“Ok,” I said, quickly. “Mitchell’s just going, aren’t you?”
“Yes,” Mitchell smiled at me and I was dazzled again. “Lovely to meet you, Michaela. I hope we meet again.”
“I think not.” Edward’s voice was nearing a snarl.
I had to admit that Edward was hot when he was jealous. I loved it when he got jealous and I considered inviting Mitchell in just to wind Edward up but when I saw Edward’s face I knew Mitchell had to go.
“Bye, Mitchell.” I waved and then dragged Edward inside.
“What the hell was going on?” Edward half shouted when the door was closed. “Who was he?”
“I told you,” I said calmly. “Mitchell.”
“Mitchell who?” Edward demanded.
“I don’t know. This was the first time I met him.”
“And the last.”
I sighed and walked into the living-room. I had decided not to do any revision. Edward’s jealous rage was much more fun. He followed me and when I sat on the sofa he sat next to me. His hand held mine very possessively.
“Stop worrying,” I said, switching on the TV. “I am not planning to run away with him.”
“That’s not what I saw.”
“What do you mean?” I turned to him. His eyes looked pained, as if I was hurting him.
“You were acting like you do when I look at you like that. You were, to use the word that was in your mind, dazzled by him. According to you, I’m the only one that ever did that to you.”
“Oh. Edward, I’m a girl! It’s what we do. We go brain dead at the sight of a cute guy.”
“From your point of view I could see he was a little more than cute,” Edward muttered.
“I will admit that he was absolutely gorgeous and he dazzled me a little bit-”
“More than a little bit.”
“You are not helping!”
Edward remained silent.
“You cannot expect me not to be like that when confronted by a gorgeous guy.”
“I am not like that when I am confronted by gorgeous women because you are the only person who is beyond gorgeous to me.”
“But I am human.”
“Not fully human.”
“I am half human.”
“Third human. Remember you are also part vampire and part Azdi.”
“I am more human than you! So just get over it. Nothing is going to happen between Mitchell and me.”
I turned back to the TV and pretended to be interested in the idiotic American sitcom that was on. How could he think that I would stray from him? He hadn’t said it but he had implied it. Stupid vampire.
Edward turned my head away from the TV to look at him. His eyes had lost their pained and hurt look and were like liquid gold now. Fiery and hot. He kissed me, softly at first, but then his kiss became harder and more passionate. Just like the night before. He pushed me back gently, so that my head rested on the arm of the sofa. Just like last night, he didn’t put his full weight on me but I did feel his chest against mine. I entwined my hands in his bronze hair and pulled his lips closer to mine, yearning for more. The phone in the hallway rang, breaking us up. I was going to answer it but Edward stopped me.
“Ignore it.” he murmured, kissing my neck.
“It might be important,” I mumbled but I knew I was going to obey Edward on this one.
He was kissing the bare skin of my shoulder, after ripping my sleeve off, when the answering machine came on.
Charlie’s panicked voice sounded loud and clear through to the living-room.
“Kayla? Kayla? Pick up the phone if you’re there? Kayla? I don’t care if your busy, pick up the phone, I need to know you’re ok.”
At the sound of Charlie’s voice I untangled myself from Edward and ran to the phone. I picked it up and gasped into it.
“I’m ok, I’m ok. I’m fine.”
Charlie sighed.
“Good,” He said. “I was worried for a moment.”
“Why?” I asked. “It’s not like I haven’t been home alone before.”
“Just normal dad worry,” Charlie said quickly.
“Ok,” I replied. “Now that you have verified that I am ok, can I go?”
“Yeah. I hope you’re revising for your exams.”
“Yes,” I lied. “Edward and I are revising loads. He’s helping me now. I wouldn’t be surprised if he brought out a whip to make sure I wasn’t slacking.”
Charlie laughed.
“Ok, I’ll see you later.”
Charlie sounded considerably more cheerful than he had three minutes ago. I said bye and hung up. Was that guy psychic? He knew the right moments to check up on me.
I walked back into the living-room and found Edward sitting on the sofa.
“I think I need to change my top,” I said, looking down at the piece of material that was my sleeve.
Edward chuckled.
“I think we should actually revise,” he said. “Unless you do want me to bring out the whip.”
“You have a whip?”
“Emmett gave me it to borrow.”
“Emmett has a whip?”
“It’s not his it’s Rosalie’s actually.” He stood up and proceeded to drag me up the stairs.
“What’s Rosalie doing with a-” I stopped dead on the stairs when I realised. “You know what? Never mind.”
