Batman, along with Superman, quickly became one of the top two most iconic superheroes in the history of comics. However, the 1960's television series helped Batman achieve news levels of fame. The show also helped Adam West become a superstar. Due to how popular he and his co-stars were, lots of people wanted the cast of the show to appear in other Batman productions.
