#80: Corpse Party: Tortured Souls

Now, there was a game known as Corpse Party that was made back in 1998- By god, it’s that old. Anyway, there was then an anime based off of the game… Fifteen years after the game was made. But, other than that, the anime was good. For an anime that only has four episodes, it was actually kinda good. The series was about a group of kids who accidently make a mistake with a paper doll, and are then sent to a cursed elementary school. Here, they have to try and figure out what is going on, while a psychotic ghost girl picks them off one by one. Now, if there is anything Japan does great, it’s horror. There’s no doubt about it. And Corpse Party: Tortured Souls really shows how well the horror is. Maybe it’s the violence, maybe it’s the designs of the ghost, maybe it’s Yuka always complaining about having to go to the bathroom, but, whatever it is, this anime is easily one of the scariest I’ve seen. It’s only this low because, well, only four episodes were made. A real shame too, as I would at least want a second series.

#79: The Boondocks

You know a show is awesome when you actually sneak out of your bedroom while your parents are sleeping, and walk into the living room just to watch this show… and Toonami, but this show comes first. This series is based off of Aaron McGruder’s comic strip series and it’s animation is based on anime. It is NOT anime, just inspired by it. The show is about an elderly man named Robert Freeman, an old man who loves young women and swings a belt at the speed of sound, who is trying to enjoy his elderly years, but finds that hard when his two grandsons, Huey, who is a very intelligent boy, but always has his theories on the government, and Riley, a young gangster wannabe who causes lots of trouble for the family. This series has a very amazing art style, and, damn, do I love the fight scenes. I don’t know if I should be in awe, due to how well animated they are, or laugh, do to how they are started. Sure, this show spouts out the N word more than a racist during the Civil Rights Movement, but that isn’t gonna keep me from enjoying this show.

#78: Afro Samurai

This here is Japan’s Boondocks. The story follows a man named Afro, who is trying to hunt down the Number 1 samurai named Justice, who killed his father when he was a boy, and along the way, he fights all sorts of agents, assassins, robots, and even a childhood friend who wears a bear mask. And, before I tell you about how violent this is. Let me point out some things. This is from Japan… and it is about samurais…. Put the pieces together… and you get a pretty violent anime. I’m not kidding, this stuff gets pretty brutal. It’s just so over-the-top, that I just love watching it. It’s insane. Oh, and you gotta love the episode where Afro cuts down 100 fighters. Are you kidding me? Yes, he actually does this, and it’s eve awesomer than it sounds. All I can say is thank god that Japan finally made an anime where a black person isn’t seen as a criminal.

#77: Dexter’s Laboratory

Oh man, the nostalgia. Now, the idea of the show is simple. Dexter, a super intelligent boy, who has a lab that he keeps secret from his parents, is always trying to create some new invention, and his annoying sister, Dede, always comes to ruin it. The show was very simple. Dexter makes an invention. Dede screws it up. Conflict occurs. Conflict resolved. So, why did this not get old. Well, it’s probably because this was such a new and ingenious idea at the time. Every single kid in my school at the time watched this show, and they all said how they couldn’t get enough of it. And I can see why. This was not something that was done before, so it’s no wonder kids loved it so much. So, why is it this low on the list. Well, Dexter eventually got the Spongebob syndrome, where he got bad. The animation got worse, and the episodes weren’t as memorable. However, the show knew when to go, unlike Spongebob, and all I can say is at least it was good while it lasted.

#76: K-On

Now, for someone who hasn’t watched the show, if I were to tell you that this was a show about a group of high school girls who join a music club and play music, you would probably say that is the stupidest idea ever. Well, actually, it’s kinda good. Sure, there really isn’t much of a story, but, it’s just a show that shows you the small things in life, and what to enjoy about them. That is basically what I see when I watch this show. A group of young musicians that just try to enjoy their lives and friendship. It’s like Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi… only it DOESN’T suck a great big pile of fecal matter. And the music videos. God, do I love these. They show us some of the best made songs I have ever heard, and the visuals really help make it look like it is actually a professional music video. All I can say is, just like Another, K-On is an underrated anime that needs more praise.

#75: American Dragon: Jake Long

Alright, the first Disney show that wasn’t aimed at little kids. Now, American Dragon: Jake Long took place in Manhattan, and was about a boy named… Well, Jake Long, who had the ability to turn into a dragon, and had to train under the supervision of his elderly grandfather, Lao Shi, and his pet dog, Fu Dog. Also, the dog is voiced by John DiMaggio. Once his name is on the credits, that makes the show an instant success. The show had a very amazing idea, where there was another world of mythical creatures that Jake had to protect, and, god, I have not seen anything like it… Okay, The Life and Times of Juniper Lee was a show I saw first but…. I thought it kinda sucked. Sure, the second season of Jake Long had different animation, but the story was still amazing, and all I can say is, they could draw pictures with Crayola and call that their animation, as long as it has the amazing story, I’ll still watch it.

#74: Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt

Hey, you want to watch an anime that is animated in the style of American cartoons and is filled with lots of sex jokes? No? Well too bad, because that’s Panty and Stocking for you. The show follows the Anarchy Sisters, Panty and Stocking, who were kicked out of heaven for their bad behavior and, with the help of the priest Garterbelt, they must fight ghosts in Daten City to be allowed back into heaven. Now, sure, the sex jokes get kinda old, but the animation is just stunning. I really love this animation. It’s just something I’ve never seen before. Now, what’s really interesting is how they created the show. The creators actually got drunk, and watched adult shows like Drawn Together and Dick Figures. I am not even kidding. They watched Drawn Together, one of the worst and most unsuccesful cartoons of all time, and Dick Figures… Well, a friend of mine showed me it once, and I was like “It was okay”. But, back to the show. There is also the series antagonists, sorta. The Demon Sisters, Scanty and Kneesocks. I just love how these two are always going on about rules and order, like some sort of dictatorship. And, did I already mention the awesome animation… Because it is beyond awesome. Panty and Stocking is an anime you’re either gonna love or hate. Me, personality. I REALLY love it.

#73: The Critic

Now, when you have a show that has some of the writers from The Simpsons working on it, you know that this show has quite a lot of potential. The show is about a 36-year-old fat bald movie critic named Jay Prescott Sherman, who basically reviews a bunch of movies that are parodies of popular movies in reality. And, let me tell you, these five second movie parodies actually manage to be funnier than any of the hour and a half movie parodies that Jason Friedberg makes. The creators tried to make Jay the anti-homer, basically making him the opposite of what Homer Simpson was, and it kinda works. The show was always able to be both heartwarming and funny. It also knew how to take some risks without going too far so everyone could enjoy it. You can easily see some of the Simpson writer’s writing in this series, and I love it. Sure, this series may not be that popular, especially with shows like The Simpsons, South Park and Family Gu- … THAT one, it is still one of my favorite adult shows.

#72: Trigun

Now, this is an anime that I only recently got into, so there isn’t a whole lot I can say. But, god, I wish I watched this show MUCH sooner. The anime is about a man named Vash the Stampede a kindhearted marksman that tries to spread peace and love… a bit ironic, if you ask me. Anyway, he has to try to survive on the planet Gunsmoke, due to the sixty billion dollar bounty he has put on him. However, he has no idea, other than he is blamed for the destruction of a city called July, and he tries to remember what happened as the series goes on. I have to say, this anime is just stunning. Sure, Vash’s hair style looks like he just went down a drop tower at an amusement park, but the style is just beautiful. Now, again, I haven’t seen much of the show, so I don’t have a lot to say, I’m afraid. Just know that this anime is very awesome, and I REALLY need to watch more of it

#71: Pokemon

Now, I know that people are starting to see that Pokemon wasn’t all that great of a show, and that it was just a way to make kids buy the toys. But, you need to remember that I put The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog AND The Super Mario Bros Super Show on this list, so I am already known for having unpopular opinions. Now, this was the show that introduced me to anime. When I saw Pokemon for the first time, I was amazed by the animation. I hadn’t seen anything like it. I loved the world of Pokemon, where a bunch of kids trapped small creatures in balls… and made them fight each other in… painful looking ways… Man, and I thought Yu-Gi-Oh was hardcore, but, man, looks like I was treating Pokemon a bit too childishly. Still, the series is just so nostalgic for me. I never played a Pokemon game when I was a kid, so this was the only way I could understand what it was about. I also had some Pokemon plushies, and I actually duct taped one of them to my shoulder. Yes, I loved the show that much. I looked like an idiot, trust me. Sure, the anime may not be as good as some people remember, but I’ll always love this show for the large amounts of nostalgia it gives me.

When it comes to horror, my favorite thing about it are the monsters. They make something so much more creepy. It could be Candy Land of all things. If a Silent Hill-like creature was put in there, it would make it so much more disturbing. These monsters can be anything from aliens that traverse space, demonic hellspawns, manifestations of human atrocities and selfish emotions, and more. But, what is it about monsters in horror that makes them scary. Why do people find things like the Alien franchise scary, or consider Silent Hill as one of the best horror games ever? Well, let’s take a look...

Some time during middle school, my parents got into this really bad fight. So bad, that my dad left and went to Middletown, or as I like to call it, A piece of the worst part of New York, and my mother, along with my and my siblings, went with our mother to our grandmother’s house. She lived in a big three story house, with a whole bunch of space. However, she was usually grumpy, always getting mad at the smallest things. Like whenever I played Pokemon Black and White too much on my DS. I would play that game like crazy, even at the dinner table, and then my grandma would go on about “Back...

Now, what is an overworld? Well, it is a place where the player can explore to his or her full extent. It is something where you can just hang out instead of progressing the games story. Oh, Pokemon. It was one of the things I loved so much in my childhood other then Zelda. IT has its own games, toys, trading cards, TV shows, manga, and, in this case, fan fictions. This show had lost of fanfictions. Some good like No Antidote, the Pokemon Rebellion, and The Midsummer Knight's Dream. Then there was the bad ones like Pokemon Ultiment (Yes the spelling of Ultimate was messed up on purpose. That's how its spelled) Forever Mine, and Darkest Night........ Then..... There's The Pokemon Story.
This has to be, without a doubt, the worst fanfic I have ever read. Worse then Trixie's Funhouse....

Man, I am just pumping these articles out today. Must be that sweatshop ambition. I don’t have a lot of arcade games that I am super fond of. Not that I hate them or anything, it’s just that most of my experiences in arcades were playing the original Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter II and Third Strike, and Tekken 3. So yeah, most of them were just fighting games. Those joysticks just work so well with fighting games. But one arcade game that caught my interest was one game by Sega, known as Crazy Taxi.
Okay, first off, I never actually got the chance to play Crazy Taxi in arcades. I...

So, I am not sure what this video is called, but I assure you, what I witnessed, and what people say about it is so revolting, that it makes me regret living in this generation. So, since I don't know the name, I will just call it "Horrible Mother".
So, this video starts with some woman feeding her, I'm guessing, 4 year old daughter. She looked four, at least. So, she won't eat any of the food, so, how does the mother respond to this. By smacking her on the back of the head three times...... Why? Trust me, it gets MUCH worse from here. So, after she's done eating, she throws up. A good parent...

I.... Have honestly no words for this show (Well, that's a load of bull, I have an entire article here describing it). This show is just.. so baffling. I don't think that words alone can perfectly describe what kind of show that we are going to be talking about to die. But damn it, I have to at least try my hardest. So, let us talk about a little twenty episode anime series, Ghost Stories and what makes it so..... Different from your usual anime.
