RPG Maker may not be the best game making software, but I do see it as being one of the best storytelling softwares. USually, with RPG Maker games, they can consist of a few RPGs that tell an interesting story, or horror games that always do well in being creepy or disturbing. It’s usually these RPG Maker games that gives us some of the most disturbing kinds of games that I can’t help but love, and I want to tell you all the five RPG Maker games that I love very much. So, let’s start, shall we?

#5: The Crooked Man

The Crooked Man is a game that follows David, a young man with a mother who doesn’t recognize him, a girlfriend who leaves him, and is finding difficult to get a job, yet remains happy through it all. However, a strange and dangerous creature with a twisted neck known as The Crooked Man is hunting David down, trying to kill him, and David is now trying to find why the spirit is so hateful. I liked the idea of this game and how it had some serious moments in it, like depression and anger and suicide. Kinda like Silent Hill 2, only with one monster only, and it takes place in several areas. If I had to complain about one thing, it’s that the gameplay consists of “Oh, there’s a locked door, but I have the key for it, but oh no, there’s like four other locked doors behind it. Better go find the keys for those doors”. The game just consists of unlocking doors and going back from room to room. It get very tedious. But, the story was interesting enough to keep me going, so I guess that’s good enough for me.

#4: Ib

Probably one of the least scary ones on this list, and more bizarre. The game follows a young nine-year-old girl named with red eyes named Ib, who goes to a museum with her parents. Once in the museum, she soon finds that the place isn’t all it seems, as once the power goes out, paints starts to appear and splatter all over the museum, sculptors come to life, and paintings come and try to kill her. While in the museum, she meets Garry and Mary, two other characters that you meet with throughout the game. They may seem like your typical anime characters, but they’re still enjoyable in a way. Like I said, this game isn’t very scary, but it’s more strange and bizarre, but can have scary moments in it. Kinda like a more hardcore Yume Nikki (No, Yume Nikki is not on this list. It wasn’t scary once, whereas Ib at least has some scary moments). Yeah, it does seem like the least scariest game on this list, but it still can be pretty freaky and that’s why I love it so much.

#3: The Witch’s House

I already talked about this game and how messed up it was, but I need to talk about it again. The game follows a young girl named Viola who wakes up in the forest, and has to travel through a house (A Witch’s House that is) in order to get home. Here, she starts to experience terrifying puzzles, morbid creatures, and a disturbing story involving a sick witch named Ellen. This game is probably one of the more depressing ones on this list. Hell, the only living creature you probably find are animals, like a cat or a frog. The frog being one of them you have to kill in order to solve a puzzle. And if anyone knows anything about The Witch’s House, it would probably have to be the endings in it, that are just enough to give one last final “fuck you” to the player’s emotions. I won’t spoil it, because as painful as it is to watch, it’s ingenius to screw with the player the way this game did and I love it.

#2: Dreaming Mary

What’s this? An RPG Maker game that doesn’t have an overhead view? It’s different, therefore it must be shit. No, not really. It’s actually very messed up. The game follows Mary as she goes around this cute little world, where she can talk to her friends. A bunny maid, a penguin in a suit, and a fox in a dress. However, at the end of the house, there’s a boar who asks if Mary would like to have fun, and here is where the game shows it’s true darker side. What I like most about Dreaming Mary is that if you want to stay in denial and not see what darkness this game has, you can do just that. Just stay on the path and don’t explore. Stay where you’re happy and joyful. But if you do explore and break the boundaries of the game, you will see that this game is so much darker than it looks. I don’t want to say why, because… spoilers, obviously. But do believe me when I say that this ending is something else. It’s just really depressing, especially after witnessing and playing through what looks to be such a happy looking game…. What a great way to make a horror game look like.

#1: Mad Father

And here is probably the scariest, most disturbing, yet most interesting RPG Maker game out there. Mad Father has you play as a young girl named Aya (Seriously, what is it with these RPG Maker games and playing as young girls), who lives with her parents. Her father, Alfred, is a scientist who works in a lab underneath the house, yet Aya doesn’t know what’s underground, and her mother died a year ago. One year after her mother died, the house is infested with creatures and experiments from Alfred’s lab. Aya is then met with a mysterious salesman named Ogre, who asks Aya if she wants to see what’s underneath the house, and Aya then begins to search for what’s underneath the house. This game is probably one of the more darker ones, showing things like human experimentation, adultery, murder, depression, and so much more. This game does not hold back on anything, especially near the end. In fact, I think it only picks up near the end. The story, characters, monsters, and puzzles are all what make this probably my favorite RPG Maker horror game.

So, there you have it. Five RPG Maker horror games that I love. There are probably a whole lot more out there that I haven’t talked about, like The Boogie Man, It Moves, Mermaid Swamp, or Ao Oni (Oh, don’t worry. I’ll get to that one soon). If there is one you would like for me to talk about, leave a comment, and maybe I’ll do a review on it. No promises though. Take care.

Now, there are a lot of games that I am sure you are all excited for, weather it is Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, Batman: Arkham Knight, or Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, or something else I’m not familiar with. But then there are the games that we were all hyped for, only for all of them to get cancelled. So, I am going to tell you all the games that looked amazing, but were sadly cancelled. Well, lets get to it, shall we.

#10: Super Mario 128 - Now, this was shown around the time when the Gamecube was going to be released. It was shown at E3, showing a bunch of Mario’s doing…....

Western films, movies about the freedom of the uncharted west of America, where man could make their own rules. And the samurai film, movies about warriors that fight and die with courage and honor. So what if some Hollywood smuck said “Let’s put them together”, and put them together they did. The story of a samurai in an old west setting is nothing new. Putting an outdated group like the samurai in an era where guns were prevalent to see how they can stand toe to toe with outlaws and gunslingers has been around since the 1971 film Red Sun, yet very few games were made of it. The only...

I LOVE animation. Hell, I am actually planning to get a career in being a writer for animation. And there are a lot of animation out there. However, some of them can be… pretty screwed up at times. Now, for this list, I am only including one scene per show. I am also only including episodes from shows that I have seen. Also, these have to be cartoons. So, Goosebumps, while scary, is out. Also, I am excluding most anime, because the list will be full of them. However, if it has been shown to kids on TV, than it is allowed. Okay, now, with all that said, let’s start the list.

After a tiring and busy day of work in the hospital, the flaxen coated mare unlocked the door of the vaulted residence. Her tawny mane was in a messy bun, and she was dressed in a white coat. As she walked inside her home, she accidentally stumbled upon a few letter blocks and stuffed animals that belonged to her young daughter, Willow. Her tangerine eyes shut as she released a sigh, carefully walking around the mess, heading straight to the living room. It was six in the morning, so she did not want to bother her family who were sleeping upstairs, so she instead would sleep on the couch.

Walter: Hey, you mind shutting up? We all got crap we got to do
Customer: (To the store clerk) You aren’t questioning this guy buying all this stuff
Store Clerk: Honey, I make minimum wage a week. Unless this gets me a raise, I won’t question a damn thing
Walter: So, why don’t you stop poking your nose where it doesn’t belong and head to the express isle
Customer: It’s more than ten items

So, let’s go over the underaged killer stories again in the creepypasta world. Okay, so we got Jeff the Killer- Well, this was a fucking mistake. As you know from… well, me, I am not a fan of the whole “emotional teenager becomes an unstoppable killer because people are too stupid to fight off a knife wielding psychopath with a gun” creepypastas, or E.T.B.U.K.B.P.A.T.S.T.F.O.K.W.P.W.A.G. Creepyastas This includes Jeff the Killer, all of his awful fan creepypastas, Jane the Killer, Clockwork, and Eyeless Jack. And trust me, I’m going to touch upon those stories later on. So, when I...

Back during the sixth generation of gaming consoles, we got a game called Red Dead Revolver, the original, Red Dead Redemption, one of my favorite games of all time. Now, Red Dead Revolver wasn’t… Terrible. I liked it, in a way, but it was clearly not what everyone wanted. It had you go through linear missions, when everyone was hoping for GTA but with horses. Sure, it’s not a bad game, but everyone was hoping for an open world wild west game… But, little did they know, that there was a wild west open world game that was released… And still, little did they know, because no one I...

(Phillip and Walter walk down the hall of Ricardo’s building)
Phillip: Walter, do we really want to go back and work for this guy
Walter: He’s got money. We don’t. I think that if we work for him a bit longer, we could make our money back. Besides, I got everything planned out
Phillip: You do?
Walter: Yes. We’ll do just a few more jobs for him, and when we’re sure we’ve got everything we need, we’ll do one last job. A huge heist at a bank.
Phillip: A-a bank heist?
Walter: Yes. It’s the perfect way to get all the money we need

So, I was looking around the internet… and guess what… THERE ARE MORE BONG CHONG DONG GHOST STORIES! AH HA HA HA HA!..... Fuck my life.
So, the next one I will be talking about is the Bong Chong Ghost 2. So, is this one any better than the original…. lets find out.
So, it starts with yet another nameless character, this time a boy. So, he is waiting in the train station, alone. Gee, you think with a population as big as Korea’s, you’d think more people would be in the subway. Anyway, as he’s waiting, he see’s this woman, who is walking around. She is stumbling around, and the boy...

Hey, so, I guess this is going to be a recuring thing, it seems.... oh well. Well, I guess I will go ahead and talk about more things that irritate me.. seriously, we must be up to thirty by now.

Stereotypes - Now, these jokes are just some of the stupidest things ever. Literally, there are stereotypes for everyone. Idiots have to be slurred and cross-eyes, which is fucking bullshit (I made a rant about why this is false in my Derpy Hooves review already, so I won't continue it again). If your old, you are very forgetful, also bullshit, because my grandmother is in here seventies, and she can...
