Writing Question

What are some words to describe flying?

It's for a novel I'm writing. I need this scene to be amazing, and I'm trying to describe flying. Do you know any words I could use?

Here's what I've got so far:
-Swooped
-Darted
-Shot
-Ascended
-Descended
-Rushed (describing the wind through their hair)
-Dashed (describing trees going by)
-Bounded (before taking off)

Any suggestions? Any help appreciated! Thanks!

I'm looking for the same thing, but here are some words I thought of.
- Soared
- Beat ( for wings, eg `she gradually started beating her wings before taking off into the night air` )
- Hovered or floated ( for staying in one place )
- Sprinted ( not for flying, but for taking off, eg `I sprinted for the edge of the building and leaped into the sky` )
Also, for some inspiration, here's a video linked to help with getting a picture in your head of what flight looks like. Idk, it might help, it helped me.
