So, it`s been nearly 2 weeks since the shocking informations came out and i`m still not capable of dealing with it. But somehow i love the thought that this maybe could be true to the characters of Damon and Elena. My bet is on Damon will offer the cure, Elena will refuse it because she loves him more than the life she`ll never have. So in old Damon fashion he`lll make this descision for her. What i love is the fact that it remainds me of the old Elena. One of my favourite scenes like ever with her was her moving speach towards Stefan after Damon feed her with blood. I always loved that she wasn`t Bella 2.0. It`s the easy way to choose everlasting youth and eternity. But dealing with the unknown of a human life is a challenge. That was my girl. And i always want her to choose Damon as a human. over a year ago

She has not been desperate to become a vampire with ignoring the consequences. But she has overcome hating that existence because of Damon. Bloodlust, seeing mortals die and not being able to have children is not an easy choice. Both forms have positive and negative sides. They don’t have to be human beings because they already make each other feel alive and human and found pleasure in the idea of eternity through that. Getting the official proof that Elena also chooses Damon as a human would be great, although we already know that. My favourite scenario would be for them to grow (a little bit) old together as human beings and having children before turning into vampires to have eternity together. DE should get what they want in the end (they both expressed missing being human and loving the thought of an eternity together), and I am happy with them ending up together and sharing an eternity as the same kind of being – vampires, humans before angels, or whatever. over a year ago

After 4 days i`m still in shock. This is the worst scenario i could ever imagine. Nina leaving the show is like playing soccer without a ball. She`s one of the "three". She is the heart and the soul. the core is leaving. I must admit i was a little nervous the whole season because of Elenas storyline is just fading away and she seems not so present as she was before. But i personally thought the cure was just a possibility to choose Damon for real. Despite the possibility of being human again over a year ago

So true, @ delenaluv! And I once wrote in an article “Both got through each other to finding pleasure in the idea of eternity.”; an expression that took me very long to come up with. Damon also confessed about missing being human more than anything in the world before, but both – Damon AND Elena – came to seeing hope for the future in Damon’s case and to stop fearing true commitment in Elena’s case and to preferring to stay eternally together to anything else (although being a human is probably still more tempting for Elena while Damon can’t imagine himself as a father). over a year ago

If Ian doesn't return, TVD is pretty much dead anyway so I'm guessing he will. And he must have a contract with the show which as far as I know, is going to run for 6 seasons. No-one has heard anything about him leaving or getting cut from the show. over a year ago

He will come back. You know why? Because he has some unfinished business with Elena and Stefan and Alaric and Enzo and the whole MF gang and most of all us. He never got a chance to say goodbye. Not to Stefan, not to Enzo, not to any character, and most of all, he didn't said goodbye to us. Just like Alaric and Jeremy didn't. And they came back to the world of living. Please, relax!!!! Ian confirmed that he's coming back for season 6. He said on twitter: taking a break from Damon Salvatore, travelling the world, and then doing it all over again. Ian also said that 5x22 would end with a MAJOR cliffhanger...that's not the end. The writers said that Bonnie is going to a new world, and that she won't be alone. Paul also said he's going to this "new place". Grams did something to help Bonnie, so it will help Damon too. Dont fall into the writers trap: they WANT the audience to believe that there is no hope. He will come back, or she'll find him. Elena, Stefan and everyone wants him back and Alaric will surely help them. THEY WILL SURVIVE!!!!! We knew they would be seperated! over a year ago

and that's the reason the writers put him there with bonnie so that whatever her grams did to hepl bonnie will also help damon find his way back to ELENA not for damon and bonnie to begin a romance that no one will ever take seriously (other than pathetic desperate bamon fans) especially after the delena scenes that the writers gave us in that finale. the writers know what they're doing by ensuring bamon fans will be back to watch s6 with having damon and bonnie being together on the other side. all she is is his ticket back HOME and hopefully also a closer friend by the end!! over a year ago

as for whatever stelena fans might be left who are really just stefan fans since they were all more than ready to have him be with katherine. they should just want him to be with happy and even lexi sees and knows what stefan can't even see yet but what paul is rooting for and that is a stefan and caroline romance! over a year ago

i wonder if i'm reay the only one who doesn't actually like the latest delena developments. right , we saw really hot delena make up without a stupid steroline talk. To be honest, I didn't think the Pilot was that great (it was apparently written in just 2 weeks, so maybe that explains it), and if that had been my first glimpse of it I'm not sure what I would have thought. But it started picking up after that and 1x03 was the episode I became a DE shipper, so that episode will always be special to me. The trouble is, Kevin and Julie are busy overseeing other shows/projects, the producers are new, and I bet some of the writing staff who worked for TVD in the early seasons have got drafted in to write for The Originals too. over a year ago

Damon grew A LOT and showed before how he nowadays deals with rejection and heartache, for example at the end of S3/beginning of S4 (when he unselfishly supported SE and kept his suffering to himself) and also just recently [after 5x10] (especially with Matt and Jeremy). But Katherine knows Damon’s weak spots and used them to tell him exactly what he “needed” to hear to go over the edge, and he has to do that in extremes to convince himself and everyone else that he really is bad. Kat is the only one apart from Elena who can cause Damon to go off the rails like that, and it was even easier for her to do it posing as Elena. Elena is the only one who ever told Damon that he was a “better man” and who ever showed Damon that she believed in him. over a year ago

Kat took that away and – although she was smart enough not to say it directly (to not destroy her pretending) – made Damon think that Elena also sees the monster in him like everybody else, what Damon has always been told throughout his whole existence and therefore beliefs himself. And although he knows Elena better than anyone else, his insecurities blinded him to not notice the truth, because it was about his biggest fears and complexes, Katherine understands perfectly how to manipulate Damon in this matter, and it all came at once, what caused Damon to react in the worst way possible. I agree with you that I don’t like emotional blackmail and people only being good for others, but although Damon mostly improved because of Elena, he changed even when he didn’t believe that he even had a chance to be loved and chosen by Elena, and he became the best version of HIMSELF, so that he didn’t became totally different and it wasn’t all “only for her”. over a year ago

I couldn’t understand how Damon would go bad and dark after 5x10 (and he didn’t), but I have to admit that it makes “less no sense” now [I hope that you understand what I try to say], while I see it like you and find the writing stupid and FORCED. It is just another postponement, more drama and the latest of MANY obstacles, while it has lots of holes and the story basics are bent immensely. But I think that Damon will fight for Elena when he hears about the situation and try everything that he can to bring her back, and that will prove his selflessness AGAIN, because he expects her hate when she will come back. I can imagine a cute “Elena waking up, saying Damon’s name and embracing him”-moment as their reunion, before he steps away from her, tells her what he did and leaves her with her friends, before the long phase of getting back together starts. over a year ago

You have to remember that Damon thinks he has nothing to lose now because he believes he has lost the most important thing to him - Elena. I know that that does not exactly justify him going off the rails, but Elena kept him grounded, and now that he has lost his anchor (i.e. Elena), he has nothing to keep him "sane". I know that implies that Damon's benevolence is dependent on Elena's role in his life, but this current "dark phase" of his is based on the belief that he is at his core a monster - a belief that he believes has been confirmed by the woman he loves more than anything on this planet, the only woman who can initiate such behaviour from Damon. I have struggled with this "Damon going dark" SL because I am all about character development, and it will greatly bother me if Damon's character development is destroyed for the sake of this SL and Katherine's sinister deeds. over a year ago

I believe this is merely an obstacle to postpone Delena's reunion, but if the reunion does not occur, then it will be the most nonsensical and maddening SL the writers have ever implemented. This SL must be created for a reason bigger than Katherine's selfish desires. If she truly ruins Damon and Elena's lives, and there is no believable conclusion to this SL that makes sense and is satisfying, especially for Delena, then the writers will truly have fucked up in every way, and this entire SL will have been rendered absolutely pointless.
