Now I understand why steroline became a priority over delena in the final. It was never a question of steroline being better, or more important than delena. Because it was always proved throughout the series that they never really were. No, I think it was more to do with the fact that it was sterolines last moments together. I dont care what was wrong! I don't care about the lack of delena scenes. The one thing, the only thing that I wanted more than anything since this show began, was delena be the endgame couple. Stefan and Caroline are irrelivant, the so called gloaters are irrelivant. Who cares about how it was all played out. Why are so many people down? Regardless of the final. Delena will always reign supreme as the best and most layered couple of this show. You could have a million stelena's and a dozen bamons, but there will only ever be one delena. Nothing is ever going to change the fact that this couple held TVD together. I don't know, I could be wrong, but something about the pose and facial expressions says elena to me. Somehow I don't think that kat would be so surprised to see the salvatores. If anything, I think that she will have had it all planned out. And also, it is important to take into consideration, all the meaningful quotes and expressions given by Damon and the other characters to him throughout the last two series, how everyone is pushing Damon to fight for, and hold onto elena.
