Since everyone seems to do this, I though why the hell not?
This is only a one-shot thing, and in the beginning they are both humans, but there are vampires in the story.

Love Can Kill
She silently stared at the doctor, utterly shocked. He must be joking. He told her her husband, HER husband, was dead.
„I’m really sorry, madame,” repeated the blonde, handsome doctor.
Sorry? He’s sorry? He’s telling me me my husband is dead, and HE’S sorry?, she thought bitterly. That’s why I had to wait, and pray for 7 days, hoping he’ll get better?! So an imbecile doctor would tell me my husband died and he’s sorry? What does he know about sorriness? He doesn’t know anything.
“Madame, please calm down!” asked the doctor calmly. She must have said her thoughts aloud. But she didn’t care. She didn’t care about anything anymore. He was… gone. He was gone, and he wasn’t coming back.
Her heart broke a little more when she finally realized she won’t be able to see him again. Ever. She won’t be able to see his face, his dark blue eyes, his golden locks. She won’t be able to hear his deep, rich voice with the southern accent, which only came out when he was talking to her.
She’ll never be able to hug him, to laugh with him, to make love with him. They won’t be able to create a family with the five little children, as they planned. Two boys, a girl and twins. The girls would have her petite, feminine figure and his blonde hair, while the boys would have his masculine body with her dark hair. It would have been perfect.
And now they can’t have it.
She didn’t even notice she was on the floor, screaming and sobbing, hot tears flowing down on her face, until the doctors and nurses surrounded her, trying to calm her down. It was all pointless; she just didn’t care. It was all over. The world, his life and now hers too.
Suddenly she felt a harsh squeeze in her heart, which was quickly followed by physical pain, and she couldn’t breathe anymore.
“She’s hyperventilating,” she heard someone shouting.
She tried to breathe, panting, her head was throbbing, the world was spinning, and it became hazier and hazier with every moment passed. Then everything went black.
He sighed, staring at the lifeless body. He let her die. He was arguing with himself; should he change her? What is the right choice in this situation? Whatever it was, it didn’t matter anymore. He couldn’t have done anything. Not when everyone was around. The doctors and nurses hovered above her, trying to save her life. But it was useless. The woman was practically a dead person three minutes before she even died. He couldn’t have done anything. So he just watched her die.
“Say it.”
“The time of the death is 10:24 p.m.”
He nodded, leaving the room. He was well aware that with her death she wouldn’t be the only one to die.
The man slowly walked in the woods, desperately trying to clear his head. It wouldn’t last long now. It has been three and a half days since he exposed himself to the humans, walking to the street in the sunshine, killing people. As a human he would have felt guilt about it, taking away someone’s life, maybe even as a vampire in normal days, but not now. He just didn’t care anymore. He knew she wouldn’t want this and she’d be very angry and disappointed, but he couldn’t bring himself to regret his decision. What was the point without her? And he couldn’t possibly kill himself any other way. It wasn’t so easy like that, as a vampire.
He sighed, sitting down on the ground, thinking about the past days’ events. His new life started exactly four days ago, when he woke up in this new, unknown, cold body. The others, the Cullens, explained him everything; what happened, what he became. They offered him a place in their family with one condition: he couldn’t kill humans. The Cullens didn’t kill humans, they lived on animal blood, that’s why they were different. He agreed, why not? The family also explained him the rules, how things worked, and how they couldn’t expose themselves to the humans. That was the primal and most stern rule. The family told him if he doesn’t comply, he faces the Volturi.
The Volturi was the supreme and most considerable vampire family; the royal family. If you break the rule, they kill you. And that’s exactly what he wanted.
At first he didn’t want to kill himself, he wasn’t typically the suicidal-type, until he heard about his wife’s death. It hurt him that he had to break away from her, that he couldn’t talk to her, see her, tell her he’s alive, but he could have managed somehow just as long as he knows she’s safe and sound. But he wasn’t willing to live in a world, where this wonderful woman doesn't exist anymore.
He thanked the Cullens everything, but he wasn’t willing to live with them, to live like that.
He smelled them first before he could see them. They were coming for him. To kill him. And he jubilated the death.
People thought Jasper Whitlock died on the 21st of January, 2009, 10:04 p.m. After 20 minutes, his wife died after him. But the truth is, there’s more to this story then most people know.
Jasper Whitlock had an accident on the 14th of January and he was in coma. Seven days later he died. That’s what they told everyone. But that’s not how it happened.
That day Jasper was indeed dying, and he would have died, if not dr. Carlisle Cullen is the one to find him. His wife, Alice Whitlock, didn’t leave him alone for a minute since the accident, and when her husband’s heartbeat got slower and slower, she immediately shouted for a doctor. Carlisle was there, and he send the scared woman out of the hospital room, to wait in the waiting hall with other relatives. The numb Alice did as she was told without a word. Carlisle did everything he could to save the patient’s life, but he could see there’s nothing he can do. Expect for one thing.
The hallway was empty, he just pushed him in with the bed to the elevator and took him down to the parking garage, where the transformation began. Then he called his son, who took Jasper home with his Volvo. Carlisle took back the empty bed to its previous place, and told the man’s wife that her husband died. The woman had a panic attack, which was quickly followed by a heart attack. The doctors and nurses were there this time and Carlisle couldn’t do anything in public. He let her die.
Three days later Jasper’s transformation ended. First he took the news pretty good, he was even willing to live with them, to live on animal blood.
But then he asked about his wife. They didn’t lie to him, he would have found out anyway, sooner or later. Jasper didn’t even believe them at first, he couldn’t process it. His reaction was very similar to Alice’s. When he finally realized everything they said was true, he already knew what he was going to do. Edward knew it too, since he was a mind reader, but they couldn’t stop him. They couldn’t keep him with them with force; if he didn’t want to stay he didn’t have to. It wasn’t their business anymore. So Jasper went and hunted. Humans. In public. As he expected it, the Volturi came after him.
Overall, Alice Whitlock died on the 21st of January, 2009, while Jasper Whitlock followed his wife on the 27th of January, now permanently. Their funeral was held at the same time, and they were placed next to each other. Their gravestones say:
