My heart was pounding fast in my chest and a dark red colour grazed my cheeks as Ellis held me in his arms. I closed my eyes in bliss as I breathed deeply, catching my breath which was taken from me. Ellis looked into my eyes and smiled,his forehead covered in a thin layer of sweat. I stared back and blushed once again,Ellis smirking at my reaction. "That was...unbelivable...," I whispered,holding him close to me. "Yeah,it was," he grinned,stroking my hair. Reaching out to my clothes which were strewn across the floor, I pulled my tank top over my head,pulling it on. Ellis followed suit, grabbing his overalls from the floor and pulling them up to his waist. Looking around, I noticed a thin glimmer of sunlight trying to squeeze through the dim windows. "Must be morning...," I said, gazing out. Ellis looked as well as he pulled his shirt back on. "Looks like it." I reached for my jeans and put them back on,Ellis adding the final few items of his clothing. The air felt slightly warm with the light trying to creep through the windows,strangely....calming. Suddenly,we both heard footsteps from down the corridor. I grabbed my gun quickly and aimed it at the doorway,my finger ready on the trigger. Ellis stood next to me, his hand ready on his sniper rifle. Three figures came into the light of the room,and I immediately knew who it was as I lowered my gun. Mina and Shadow followed by Nick walked in,and I noticed that Mina was trying to hide a blush and Shadow was grinning,so I had an idea of what they'd been doing. Nick looked as if he was in thought,his eyebrows furrowed and his lips squeezed together. "What is it Nick?" Ellis asked. He hesitated slightly before answering. "We need to get out of here,right now. I overhead a conversation by the head honcho,and apparently,they're bringing in special military forces to hunt us down." My eyes widened in shock as the final few words reached my ears. Mina looked as worried as I did,clinging onto Shadow slightly. "Hunt us down?" Nick nodded,his knuckles clenched. "They said they're going to seal every gate off as soon as they get here,and they're arriving at midnight tonight." Shadow's ears perked up,as if he was listening for something. "Why at night Nick?" "Because we're more vulnerable at night.Imagine,no lights,no way of seeing,a perfect opportunity for them to hide." I swallowed slightly,holding onto Ellis' arm. Shadow growled but then his frown turned into a devilish smile as he tightened the grip on his shotgun. "They want to play dirty,then so can we." Nick smirked and nodded,and Mina grinned too. I stared out of the window,gazing intently at the light that shone through. Ellis turned his head to look at me. "What is it?" I stood still,taking in the sun. "I'm just looking at the light,because if anything should go wrong,that's the last sign of freedom I'm ever going to see."
