NOTE: This story was written exclusively for a good friend of mine. I wanted to make sure of this. Please enjoy.
The army of card guards continued walking through most of Wonderland. Alice meanwhile was being taken along with them. “I’m curious as to knowing where they are taking me.” She thought. She would constantly turn her head to the left and right, looking up at their faces. While they didn’t look back their expressions were clear to her.
After walking through most of the land, they had finally arrived at their destination. Up ahead stood a large barrier that was covered by hedges. Alice wondered who would use them as a protective barrier. “Anyone could very well get through with no trouble,” She thought. “They should have built something taller and well made.” When all the card guards got to their positions, the White Rabbit that Alice has been after quickly made his way into the exist of the entry. He was announcing the Queen’s presence to at which Alice grew confused. “There’s a Queen?” She asked in her mind.
Slowly but no sooner, the Queen made her way out and walked passed the card guards. As she looked at them one by one, she then caught a glimpse of a little girl and stopped. “Who is this?” She asked with an angry expression. “M-M-My name is Alice,” She respond quickly. The Queen’s face suddenly turned bright red as she exclaimed, “Don’t talk without me telling you to!!!” Both Alice and most of the card guards fell down. She then told them to get back up with anger. “So you are the one that has entered Wonderland,” She said as she observed Alice closely. “You realize you are in big trouble for entering here without my permission?”
Alice was both confused and worried. “What do you mean by coming here without permission? It is not like I was here on purpose.” “What did I just told you?!!” The Queen asked with anger. “Never, ever talk back to me unless I tell you so got it?!” Alice nodded quickly in response. After a little cough, the Queen resumed to speaking. She was explaining to Alice about a rule that applied to all of Wonderland. “The biggest law in all of Wonderland is that you must never, ever enter without consulting me. Sense I am the Queen of Hearts you must obey and live by that law okay?” Alice understood, but wasn’t really accepting. “I still don’t understand why I’m the one who is trouble.” The card guards gasped with horror by what she said. She looked at them worriedly. The Queen then turned around and by this time, she was very, very, very mad.
“You cannot bear to listen to me can you??” She asked as she approached Alice slowly. Poor Alice walked backwards slowly, but then tripped on a rock and fell on her bottom. The Queen approached her closely as her face was filled with anger. “Set up a trial for this little girl! It’s time we end this!” The card guards as well as the White Rabbit quickly ran into the entrance to the kingdom and got everything set up for the trial.
About a minute later, Alice was seen in a large, dark court room. Sitting up high on the judge’s seat was the Queen, who was looking impatient. The White Rabbit meanwhile was seen standing on another seat towards Alice. He was going over the events that occurred just a while ago. Once he was through, the Queen was ready to hear her sentence. Alice however said that she didn’t do anything wrong and that a punishment is not necessary.
The entire court room then fell into a dreaded silence. Alice looked around, wondering what was going on. “You dare argue against me?” The Queen asked as she looked down at Alice. “For that, you will be severely punished. Take her to my dungeon! Maybe she will learn to respect me then.” With her words spoken, the card guards grabbed Alice and carried her to the dungeon area, which was part of the Queen’s kingdom area.
After a brief walk, they approached the dungeon facility which looked more like a castle. Although it may have looked like one, the interior was nothing more than a prison dump. There were at lease four floors, each with rows of cells. Because Alice was the only one being prisoned however the card guards put her in a random cell on the main floor. After locking her in, the card guards walked away. Alice just sat there on the dungeon floor as tears formed in her eyes.
She continued sulking in the dungeon for at lease an hour. When a card guard came in and brought her something to eat however, she felt a little better. As it started getting dark, she laid on a pile of straw which was near a corner. “I guess I shouldn’t have come here after all,” She said quietly as she tried keeping herself warm. “I want to go home..” It took her a while to finally get to sleep. In doing so, both of her eyes slowly closed and she dozed off.
The night was very quite in the Queen’s kingdom. The courtyard was peaceful as nothing scampered or moved. The large, opened area where croquet is played was also very peaceful. The moon that stood high in the sky shined the entire Wonderland landscape. Although most of the forest weren’t getting enough light as the trees were blocking most of the moonlight.
Somewhere beneath these woods, a mysterious figure was seen. Its identity was completely unknown- though it was wearing a black jacket and appeared to be riding on a horse which was silver colored. It appeared as if only the horse could be seen through the darkness. They were walking through the dark forest until the stranger told the horse to halt. After that, the figure quickly fell down on his feet and walked straight a little. It then got on its knees and observed something. “Yep, this is her tracks alright,” The figure said quietly. “We must be on the right track.” The stranger’s voice was the sound of a man, so it became clear that whoever it was is a person who lives in Wonderland.
Back at the Queen’s kingdom, a large castle stood. This place is the Queen’s lair as they call it. Somewhere within the interior, the Queen was asleep in her room. She was in the middle of having a dream when two of her card guards bursted into the room. “What are you doing here?!” She asked with furry. “Sorry your highness, but we have en emergency.” One of the guards said. The Queen wanted the explanation at which the other card guard managed to explain. “He’s back is he? Well, I will show him something he will never forget! Call the other guards and let’s meet by the entrance. Move it!” With her orders given, the two guards quickly left the room. As they were running, they asked each other what exactly she had planned. They each didn’t know.
A while later, most of the guards had gathered. The Queen herself also arrived. “Now listen,” She started. “We are up against someone we all know and fear. He is super fast and clever so I will need your full support in making sure he doesn’t get in the way. Understand?” The guards nodded in response. “Then get your positions- now!!!” With that being spoken, they all left to their positions. Alice meanwhile was trying to sleep, but was awoken by the sounds of the card guards. “What is going on?” She asked as she rubbed her left eye. She tried to take a peek through the window, but wasn’t tall enough. She just had to make due with her imagination.
Within minutes, the stranger and his horse arrived on top of the hill. Downward stood the Queen’s kingdom, which was barren and quite. “I know what she’s plotting,” He said as he chuckled. “She thinks she can catch me but a fat chance that will do. Let’s go.” Getting on his horse, they quickly came down the hill and managed to reach to lower ground. They were near the entrance when the stranger got off his horse. He patted it on the head as he told it to stay put for now.
The stranger snuck his way to the kingdom’s entry. He peeked through the corner of the left and saw no sign of activity. Then, he quietly walked through the entrance. It took him a while to walk through the straight path line of the kingdom. When he made it to the center portion, he looked all around and saw no sign of anyone. It wasn’t until he started making his way to the right when the card guards did a surprise attack on him. Little did they realize that this was just was he expected.
On every path and direction, the stranger fought and brawled against the card guards. He continued fighting them until he made it to the dungeon building. Alice meanwhile was standing in the center of her cell, wondering what was going on. She didn’t have time to think as suddenly an explosion occurred. The smoke continued when it finally cleared. Poor Alice was coughing as she was seen lying on the floor. Her dress was dirty and torn a little.
When the smoke finally cleared, she then turned her head and noticed a strange figure standing outside. Her eyes were tired as she wasn’t able to make out who it was. Just as the figure approached closer, she fainted. The figure, who turned out to be the stranger, got on his knees and stared down at her. “The Queen has gone too far this time,” He said as he carefully picked her up. “But you don’t have to fear her any longer.”
He quickly left the dungeon, along with Alice who was being carried. They quickly made their way out from the kingdom without running into any of the card guards. After leaving the kingdom grounds, the stranger gently put Alice on the back of his horse and also got on it as he told it to go. They all quickly left the area after disappearing from on the top of the hill.
Meanwhile, the Queen and her guards gathered at the impact from the dungeon. Her whole face started turning red and she screamed. “That’s the last straw!!! Next time he comes to my kingdom, I will make sure to give him something he will never forget! That good for nothing knight is going down!!!”
