ARWEN - Smiling Deliriously At These Two

Bonne-Bell This scene was perfect. Even without a kiss, it was perfect. I don't know how many times I've replayed it. Just look at the way they're looking at each other and Arthur holding her chin... Waaaaaahhhhhhh.

zana77 yes...bonne-bell...today, we all abuse reply button for the sake of this romantic touch and breaking heart scene...they way Arthur comfort and hold Guinevere chin and remind her about their first kiss...melt me!!

Melisey They make my eyes tear up and brings a smile to my face at the same time. I think it is even more perfect without a kiss. Their looks and body language says it all. And in the hug the cling to each other for dear life.

lv2rt Okay now don't throw rotten tomatoes (only fresh ones please) but amazing how well we are conditioned to accept what we get. Yes, yes, yes, the scene was very sweet but hey we really need something that reaffirms they are in love not just deeply like each other. Come on now, even if it's an enchancement, she doesn't hug Lancelot. It's a kiss. So for me I would have greatly appreciated a kiss. But then on the other hand it would have messed up Arthur's speech about ...remember when... thing. But I would have had him softly kiss the bridge of her nose before they hugged.

Melisey I'll keep to the fresh tomatoes. LOL.:D No, you are totally entitled to want the kiss.It is more than ok to have different opinions. I am very demanding so I would never settle with what I got. I love the vampire diaries, but I am not to impressed by their new season. But this Arwen scene was topnotch for me. It was just perfect the way it was. A kiss right there could have made it over the top. Arms around each other was perfect. He could have kissed her nose. But it was perfect the way it was. I didn't need the kiss to see they are deeply in love. His speech about their amazing first kiss and their looks reaffirmed that for me. I love kissing though. And I hope we get some when he comes back home.

EpicArwen I'm with you Melisey. I didn't need the kiss to affirm they are head over heels for each other and their love has deepened over the past year. Everything Gwen did/said in this episode practially screamed that he is her entire world. The way she knew instantly by looking in his eyes that something bad was going down, how he touched her face, the looks, the smiles, the fact that he needed/wanted her smile to to take with him...these two are off the charts in love. And can we mention that just the mere mention of that kiss turned her into the very image of happiness and love? I actually liked the hug over a kiss because of they way they held on to each other, like they didn't want to let go. It was beautifully done and the emotion coming off of them was...words fail. :) OT: I agree about TVD, but that's because I'm not a huge Stefan fan and so far it's all Stefan all the time so... :(

Melisey Oh EpicArwen, you said it so much better than me. I completely agree with everything you wrote. Especially to the part about everything Gwen did/said, screamed he was her entire world. And about TVD, same. And I can throw in I'm not the biggest Klaus fan either. He doesn't give me the villain feeling.

lv2rt Okay, I'll "settle" for the non kiss. Boo whoo...crying me. LOL. I just know sometimes TPTB sell us short sometimes but okay, I'll admit the scene was excellent. Very touching and the love is definately there.
