leona21 Does anyone think that they were directed to kiss like that or THEY just kissed like that? I mean does a director tell him to "suck on her top lip Bradley." Gosh watching it in slow motion is the real deal, it was beyond sexy. Does anyone else think this was the scene that Adrian (not sure of the name but he tweeted they had an explosive scene etc) was talking about?

EPaws No this is not the scene, Leona and no, these two are left to their own devices for intimate scenes cause they have always gotten it right...hmmmm practice makes perfect lol. Yeah, let us leave it there. Why mess with perfection. They ARWEN's AVATARS or the new one that is loved, BRATHUR and ANWEN always knock it out of the park.

HumbleQueen It's funny, Leona, but I was just thinking about that last night. I'm not terribly knowledgeable about these things, but I feel pretty strongly that the director would not tell them specifics on what to do. Especially after hearing the director of 2x02 talk about how sometimes they just "sit back and see what happens," which is what direction did on that first kiss, and how phenomenal they all thought it was. I doubt if they would give that minute of an instruction anyway, but especially in the case of Bradley and Angel. They know how to carry out a romantic scene between them, which I'm sure each director knows. They were probably told to do a couple of kisses, (perhaps given the dialogue in there; not sure) and maybe even told to give it a little more heat than normal, which they would gladly comply. But I wouldn't be surprised if they were allowed to carry out that whole makeup scene themselves. I'm sure everybody knows all about them on the set. I'm not here to get into the controversy about whether or not they are a couple in RL, but the fact that they have a close relationship is undeniable, so that would play out well off each other in all their scenes, especially S4 when whatever issues which were there in S3 got resolved. All that to say I believe directors would give them tons of leeway on their emotional/romantic scenes because they need little directing. And DEFINITELY they would not tell him to suck her upper lip, lol. A little peck on the lips would have done quite nicely now wouldn't it, but needless to say, this was so much better. I have no doubt that was all Brad's doing, and the response was all Angel. To me, this is why they have been so special; I could go on and on about how they respond to each other. And believe me, all the directors probably know it. No. I am sure it's not the scene Adrian Bell tweeted about. That comes in the latter episodes. They were filming the last three episodes when he did that, plus he said it was an "explosive" scene with tingles down spine, etc. etc. Now we did get some tingles and a bit else from watching this, but we can expect something coming up that is a lot more charged. And it might not even be a romantic scene. Can't wait.

angelmygirlyo with these two you can never tell where the acting starts and finishes. actually when I was watching and listening to their conversation in this episode I thought some of it sounded like a page out of their real lives. Like it could have played out in their lives, whether she is "appropriate" or not. I dont know if anyone gets me there. Maybe just my imagination

itsastart I felt the same way angelmygirlyo. Especially during the breakup scene. These scenes could very much mirror what people say about Brangel, and I thought after she said its a start, his grin was Bradley saying "you hussy". So many kindred spirits in this fandom. Thank you for saying what I was feeling.......

HumbleQueen Welcome, angelmygirlyo, I see you just recently joined up. Hope you enjoy. And yes, I get exactly what you mean, as many of us get the same sense of realness from their scenes. No doubt about it. Interestingly, I was just reading one of those "no chemistry" dissertations at another site and my only reaction at this point can be one of amusement. It's mind boggling to say the least, and I've come to the conclusion that what they're seeing is so disturbing to them that their only recourse to make them feel better is to discount it as a lack of chemistry. All I know is if this no chemistry couple makes an old lady like me have tingles and "a bit else" (LOL, Kim!), then I would hate to see what would happen if they ever got it; my family would be taking me to the ER with heart palpitations.

HumbleQueen Are these new terms, my dear Stacey, or had I just missed them along the way? I like. And you know what? They're pretty much on target, I'd say. Exactly what we get as I think about it.

leona21 Yeah, I kind of got the feeling that it was B/A directing their own kiss despite Bradley saying it is just mechanical due to everyone watching and the directors telling them to turn their head this way and that. I think he can be economical with the truth.

leona21 Just to add. I saw this kiss close up (HD) and Angel's top lip appeared to look moist! Watch it in colour. Not sure if it is my imagination or not.

leona21 I haven't got a link but on youtube there are several people who have posted the kiss and if you watch in HD one can see every freckled rosey cheeks etc. Her lip just looked moist to me, well on my hd tv,lol. Either way, he must have bit or pulled on her lip even slightly. He could have just pecked her (of which I am sure was the general direction but I think Bradley added his signiture)before the proper kiss.

HumbleQueen Yes, seems so, Leona. Well, if someone sucks on your top lip with a moist mouth, then said top lip will certainly end up with moisture. And I would doubt very seriously if said gentlemen had a dry mouth at the time. When I am about to have a taste of some food item which I know will be enjoyable, my mouth tends to salivate just a bit before taking my first taste of said food item. Just sayin'. Unfortunately, I don't have a HD tv here and must do all my watching on my computer, but I don't for a minute doubt that what you observed is exactly what it was. About the dear writers of this show. I have slowly and almost completely lost my confidence in their ability to write the scripts in such a way that the scenes have the complexity, depth, and intensity which would give us the emotional profundity that would take us to another level as viewers. So for me it's beyond the scope of my imagination that any Merlin writer would even be able to remotely think to suggest such a move by the lover in a love scene. And definitely not this particular director. Okay, I'm having some fun and speaking somewhat "tongue in cheek" but I really do very much doubt it. Maybe some day we'll find out we were dead wrong and every last move of the eyes, hands, mouth, and tongue was written and directed, lol.

leona21 I just love the way she keeps her eyes closed and I think he opens his quickly to see her reaction. So like their first kiss in parts.
