Over thirty-two pictures plus one (in large size), will be presented at the Contemporary Concept from 489 photos, 108 of which are unpublished, that make up the Collection of Maurizio Rebuzzini (the most comprehensive and reasoned that exists), photographs taken by Irving Klaw and his sister Paula in 1951 and 1956 (more by Paula that Irving), 10x13cm in size; That’s how that, in the fifties, they use to sold their own photographic production. This is how the photographs of Betty Page and other contemporary models have always been printed. However, History (specially regarding at History of Costume) gives today a value and a meaning to these images: they present formally with an approximate and poor aesthetic value. For this reason, will be exhibited for the occasion thirty-two black and white prints (plus one) in size 38x50cm and 84x110cm, converting the originals into digital files, that have been patiently worked: very accurate adjustments, lights intervention, saturation or desaturation of tones. To be precise, it was done, originally should have been done in printing and concluding that way, if only Paula and Irving Klaw had pandered in some measure its photographic action. In fact, the feeling of photography depends as well on its shape and its appearance. The quality of images produced by the software is comparable to those who are made in the darkroom.
The thirty-two artworks (plus one) exposed in the exhibition will be available for clients and worldwide collectors, in a limited-edition of 9 pieces.
