BLACK VEIL BRIDES' ANDY BIERSACK: 'If Someone Enjoys Our Music, Then I'm On Their Team' 

Andy Biersack and Christian Coma of Los Angeles theatrical rockers BLACK VEIL BRIDES spoke to UK\'s TeamRock Radio about the early reactions to the band\'s forthcoming fourth, self-titled album, which is due on October 28 via Lava/Republic.

"It seems like a gross waste of time to continue our career predicated on the idea that we\'re going to divide opinion. What\'s more important is just doing something that you love. The hope is that people will enjoy it. I have a strong feeling that people will, and the song that just came out and the ones that will be coming out prior to release have done really well and people have enjoyed them. And that\'s really the best thing you can get. When you spend six months of your life making a piece of art to put it out there and for people to enjoiy it, that\'s really the best thing."

He continued: "Are there going to be people who don\'t enjoy it? Inevitably. There are people who deny anything. Things that are far more cosmically talented and insanely specific to the canon of human life are denied. People will look at \'The Starry Night\' by Van Gogh and say, \'That sucks.\' And you go, \'How do you even get to that point? How does your brain work that way?\' And it\'s just because the specifics of something artistic aren\'t the same for everyone. And that\'s the beauty of it being so subjective. If someone enjoys our music, then I\'m on their team. If they don\'t enjoy our music, I\'m not necessarily against them, I\'m just not playing for their team, you know what I mean?! And if they wanna join our team, [the door is] wide open, always."

BLACK VEIL BRIDES premiered their new single, "Heart Of Fire", on England\'s BBC Radio 1 on Monday night (September 8). Biersack told The Pulse Of Radio that the message of "Heart Of Fire" is simple. "The song \'Heart Of Fire\' is about how time and circumstance change you and how the goal is always to not let the passion that you have for something that you love burn out because the world around you changes it," he said. "I mean, it\'s very interesting to look at a group of people that are in a band — I think we all are more passionate today about the band maybe than we\'ve ever been, and that\'s a really cool thing. The song is really about allowing yourself to keep that passion burning for something that you truly enjoy."

"Heart Of Fire" is described in a press release as "an upbeat rocker that showcases the band\'s signature dual-guitar attack and driving rhythm section all behind a positive lyrical message the band has become known for."

BLACK VEIL BRIDES will film videos for two singles later this week, including "Heart Of Fire", which will be shot in Santa Clarita, California.

"The plan is just to do something that is a high-impact performance video,"

Biersack told VH1 Radio Network\'s Dave Basner. "I think that the song calls for it. We\'re not going to do a whole lot of storyline in it. Obviously we made a whole movie out of the last record so we really want something that is very performance based and kind of shows more of what the live show is like. And also, it\'\'s still going to be ridiculously over the top and theatrical, \'cause it\'s us."

BLACK VEIL BRIDES will launch a massive U.S. headlining tour on October 21 in Niagara Falls, New York, with dates booked all the way through December 15 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
