Bobby held the grief stricken Alex in his arms. "Why him, why him?" she sobbed into his shirt. "We will find him Alex." he said, It was all he could think to say. She pulled herself up to look in his eyes. Bobby almost couldn't look back. The pain he saw in her normally calm, sarcastic eyes made him cringe. Alex's face suddenly became rock hard. "What if we don't?" she said. He couldn't see her like this, he couldn't allow her to slowly kill herself with grief. "I promise you," He grabbed her shoulders and looked her straight in the eyes, "We will find him."
They were in the squad room, reviewing everything they had. Bobby saw Alex pick up a picture of her nephew that was in the file and kiss it lightly. God, they were gonna need some therapy after this one. Bobby's cell phone broke the silence. "Goren." he answered. He was quiet for a few anxious minutes. "We will be there in 20 minutes." he finished. "One of the kids turned up. He's been beaten." Alex's eyes began to get glassy.
