"Bryce?" Becky cried as she nudged him. "Bryce, get up."
"Becky, send someone for help. I can't hold on much longer..." he coughed.
"No! I'm not leaving you!" She cried even harder.
"Well, if-f you want-t me t-to-oo stay, you'd bet-t-er go get someone!" He said quietly.
"I'll send out a distress call to let cats from our Clan know we're out here..." She said.
She threw her head into the air, while standing on hind legs, and let out an ear-splitting meow that cut the silence of the night. She landed back down and laid by Bryce's side.
"Bryce, we'd better get off the Thunderpath. I don't really want you to get hit again. That would surely kill you." She meowed.
Moments later, Bee, Clicky, Tomboi, and Ashley.
"Oh my god! What happened?!" Clicky asked.
"Bryce got hit by a monster..." Becky cried.
"Is he alright?" Bee asked.
"Let me see," Ashley said.
"Why?" Becky snarled.
"Because I know how to treat wounds! Not that I like it in all, but, still. Fine. If you want him to die, I won't do anything!" she hissed.
Becky looked down, and hugged Bryce. Bryce was just watching the four girls fighting and getting angry and sad.
"My god, if you girls are gonna do this to me, I'm better off dead..." He meowed helplessly. "I don't even think I have a choice...I'll be gone soon anyways..."
It had been an hour. Blake finally got mad because even the hunting patrols had come back.
"Boomer, your son is missing." He assured the father of Bryce.
"What? He is?" Boomer asked.
Ashley finished checking his wounds.
"He's alright," She said. "But he'll never be able to fight again. His back right leg is disabled."
"Oh god. Just what we need. Another cat who can't fight!" Clicky hissed.
"So, I'm not gonna die?" Bryce asked.
"No, you're no gonna die." Ashley meowed.
"How are we supposed to get back?" He asked.
"You can walk!" She hissed.
Brcye tried to get up, but he scrabbled and fell with his hurt back leg.
"How?" He asked again.
Ashley growled and nudged him up. He limped back to camp, and tried washing off the blood from his coat.
Back at camp, Blake saw Bryce's hurt leg.
"What happened?!" He asked shocked.
"I got hit by a monster on the Thunderpath..." Bryce meowed.
Blake sighed and slapped a paw to his face. "Tell me why exactly you were on the Thunderpath?"
"I had crossed to tell my dad Becky is gonna have kits-"
"She is?"
"Yeah, two."
"Cool!"
"Yeah, but the thing is, Bryce can't fight anymore to defend his Clan. His leg is crippled." Becky sulked.
"Yeah, that's true. Look at your leg!" Blake meowed. "You were a great fighter, and you did it well."
"Thanks, Blake." Bryce purred.
"At least you can be a good father for our kits." Becky mewed.
"That's also true," Bryce said purring loudly. "I'm not so upset, Blake. This means I can stay with my kits, until I die."
"Once again, true." Blake laughed.
