ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW: Unlike the princesses, I actually like every single prince. So don't think that because your favorite prince is low I don't like him, I actually do. Also, before writing this list, I watched almost all the princess movies so I could formulate my decision. The only ones I didnt watch are Cinderella & Snow white and the Seven Dwarfs, and in this case, I don't think it's necessary.

I'm aware this is a LONG article. If you're going to skim it, PLEASE at least read the paragraph below Shang's picture.

10.Phillip
HOTNESS RANK: #8
To be honest, I'm having trouble pinpointing why Phillip is last. I mean, he looks great in a pair of tights, and when he struggles against the chains...damn! That's hot. I don't dislike Phillip, far from it. I guess I just find him rather generic. Of course, I think the movie itself has something to do with it. I finally appreciate the phrase "bored to tears"; the last time I watched Sleeping Beauty I actually started tearing up forcing myself to keep my eyes open. It's a great movie to play so I can fall asleep at night. And I think some of that rubs off on the characters, who I find nothing special about as well. I just expect someone with as much screentime as Phillip to have a little more zest to him, but I guess the only zest I'll find is in between his legs.

98.Prince Charming
HOTNESS RANK: #10
The only reason Charming is higher than Phillip is because he makes me laugh. He sees Anastasia and Drizella and rolls his eyes at them like "Oh god, I can do better than that." Then he sees a glittery, hot piece of ass across the ballroom and falls in love with her. I find him slightly romantic in a lazy, spoiled way. I always liked how he ran after Cinderella, but then was like "Okay, I'm tired. You guys look for her." And probably sat in his jacuzzi relaxing while the Duke looked for her night and day. What an apathetic prick. And I appreciate that.

8.Beast
HOTNESS RANK: #7
I suppose this one just comes down to a matter of personal taste. I really love him in the beginning when he's a wild, crazy asshole who leaps from place to place. After he turns nice though, it's like he's been stripped of his dignity. He just becomes a wimpy, Belle-obsessed furball. He honestly comes across as a complete imbecile to me sometimes, even though it's probably just cluelessness. Anyway, I feel bad, it's not his fault, Disney just forgot to let him keep his balls once he turned nice.

7.Aladdin
HOTNESS RANK: #5
Hey, don't complain. At least he's not in the bottom 3. Well, anyway, I actually love Aladdin in the first half. He's clever and funny, and a bit of an ass, but with a heart of gold. Plus, he doesn't have fleas. But I can't completely love him because I think his love for Jasmine is 90% lust, 10% interest. I really feel like he thinks Jasmine is shallow, and he is shallow too. I mean, he thinks Jasmine will laugh at him if he shows up at her palace, when she ALMOST KISSED HIM. That means he presumes she's shallow. And if he does so, why would he be interested in her? He's just sort of whiny and a cheater to me, but most of the time he's a good guy. Frankly, he's just not my type.

6.Naveen
HOTNESS RANK: #2
I have to be honest, my Naveen fever (thanks cromulanfav) has worn off. I admit I was totally in love the first time I watched the movie, but maybe because compared to the other characters...well, he was by far the best. He certainly is easy on the eyes, and he's funny and cocky, which I normally am not fond of, but somehow he plays it off in a likable way. But after watching the movie a couple more times, I wasn't as enchanted. I love that he's not a typical "knight in shining armor", in fact, does he really do anything super heroic? And I love his sass to Tiana and how nothing seems to bother him. I love that he has a musical talent, something only one other prince has, and how he seems to have this enjoyment for life. But I like him much better as a person than as a frog. As a frog, I think sometimes he gets a little repetitive with his personality. But other than that, I really like Naveen, a lot, and it pains me to put him this low.

5.The Prince
HOTNESS RANK: #9

Um....heh heh heh.

Okay, okay. Ever since I was little I had a soft spot for the Prince. Though we only see about 10 minutes of him total, I like to think I can discern his personality well from what we see. First of all, in our first meeting with him he has a constant smile. He hears Snow White's singing and climbs over the wall and spontaneously joins her in song. To me, this makes him a fun, goofy guy, which is definitely proven in the link. He sings the song to her with a big grin as if to say "Yea, maybe I'm a silly fool, but I'm a fool for you." Then at the end, he sings the song to Snow White as if his whole life has come down to finding her, and the song is truly meant for her. When he wakes her up and picks her up, they both have those big, happy grins, and he looks at her like she's the anchor tying his heart down. He searched far and wide for a long time for this girl, and to finally find her is to him, literally like he's in heaven. I just don't see the other princes acting so happy at discovering their true love.

...Whatever you think, let me just have my fantasy, all right? I really love The Prince. :D

4.Flynn
HOTNESS RANK: #6
He's smart, he's suave, and he's hilarious. Seriously. But I wasn't stupid enough this time to put it him up so high because being funny only lasts so long. But he's also got other qualities. He's nimble and brave, and he's imperfect. His backround story is cute (a little too cute), but whatever. He fell in love with Rapunzel a little too fast & unconvincingly for my tastes but whatever. I like that he's cynical and not at all really interested in Rapunzel, like he has better things to do. I really like Flynn. :)

3.John Smith
HOTNESS RANK: #4
On my old, very old, prince list, John Smith was first. Well, he's not far from it now, though he's jumped around a ton. Anyway, I just find John Smith to be a genuinely cool guy. He's adventurous, smart, he's got a good sense of humor, and he takes things well. I love how devoted he is to Pocahontas without losing his personality in the meantime. He seems to risk his own life for others without even thinking twice. He comforts Pocahontas while he sits on death row for a crime he didn't even commit. When Pocahontas runs away from him after they first meet he has this determination to go after her. And he's a real guy- he's got blood on his hands. He's killed savages in the past. But he's not brainwashed like the rest of them to just keep killing. He stopped for Pocahontas -yes, okay, maybe it had to do with the fact that she's a hot piece of ass- but I like to think that it's because of the way they looked into each other's eyes. He's laid back and friendly, and he doesn't try any smooth, cool pickup lines on Poca like some of the other princes- he just seems really genuine with her.

2.Eric
HOTNESS RANK: #1
I debated a long time over whether to put him first or not. Finally, I decided that if he wasn't half as good looking as he is, I probably wouldn't like him as much. But that's actually a key factor as to why I like him.
Let's face it, in real life, the good looking ones tend to be cocky assholes, or gay. Or both. Whether or not you personally think Prince Eric is good looking, he's portrayed to be so in the film. One of the major reasons why I love him so much is that he's good looking and doesn't have a major ego, at all. In fact, he appears to be a really humble guy. He's either unaware of his looks or it isn't important to him. The other thing about him that I love is that he's genuinely loves Ariel for her oddities. Sure, he fell in love with her voice, but when he met her and didn't know who she was, he helped her out and he wasn't in love with her then, or even in like with her. He didn't have to help her out but he did. To me, he's sincerely the biggest sweetheart of all the princes. Anyway, when Ariel is acting like a crazed child in town, Eric seems to laugh and enjoy her craziness, because it's genuine and happy. I love that an all around perfect guy falls in love with a very imperfect girl, and to me they fall in love in a very genuine way. He doesn't lay down any smooth moves and he certainly isn't the one leading the romance. He seems shy and uncertain, and that makes him all the more real to me. Oh yea, and he rescued his dog from a burning ship, and Ariel from Ursula. He's just so genuine and kind, and seems to genuinely love Ariel for who she is, flaws and all. Eric is my disney prince crush. I honestly hope to find a guy like him someday.

1.Shang
HOTNESS RANK: #3
I stepped forward, searching the area. "My father was supposed to be here." I could feel my voice catch. I heard my name being called and walked to the edge of the hill. There I saw the mangled bodies of my father's army. Mouth agape, I could barely focus as another soldier presented me with my father's helmet. I knew now where my father was. Without a moment's hesitation, I walked away from the group and stood, staring down at the edge of the hill, cape blowing behind me. Thinking, I stabbed my sword into the snow and laboriously placed my father's helmet upon it, the one I had seen him wear so many times. I bent low and bowed before it, paying the highest respect I could think of. My mind was a painful blank. Another soldier appeared from behind me and said something, but I wasn't really listening. I stood up, gently reassured the soldier with a pat, and walked to my horse. With a slight hesitation, I mounted the saddle and turned to my men, who were staring at me, waiting for a reaction. "We're the only hope for the Emperor now. Move out!" Glancing at each other they picked up their gear and started walking. I couldn't let the men see the agony I was in over my father's death. So I walked forward, my grief throbbing in me like a drum. I furrowed my eyebrows and stared on. I had to ignore it now. There were more important things at stake then myself. Like my men. This war. China.
To me, Shang is the most admirable prince.
He stuck up for Mulan in a time when it would probably be unheard of. He doesn't take crap from anyone, and genuinely cares about his men. He's got a brillaint mind and a good sense of humor. But most of all, he's the most selfless of all the princes. Never once does he put himself before someone else. He's constantly trying to protect those around him, even if it means putting his own life at stake. The scene I just described is so significant to me, because here we have a man who has just discovered his father's horrific death and choses not even take a moment for himself to grieve. He quickly honors his father, then moves on so he won't let down his men.
