We've all seen those Disney favorites a thousand time. But were do you look when you want something different but still animated the way you like it? I've made a list of traditionally animated movies created by my four favorite Disney alternatives as well as a few of my favorites that don't fit into those sections.

Dreamworks is known primarily for it's CGI movies such as Shrek but it's traditionally animated movie are not to be overlooked.

Dreamworks
The Prince of Egypt
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
The Road to El Dorado
Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas
Joseph: King of Dreams*

Don Bluth was one a member of the Disney team, directing animated classic such as The Rescuers and Pete's Dragon. He parted ways with Disney to create his own unique style of animation.

Don Bluth
The Land Before Time
An American Tail
All Dogs Go to Heaven
Titan A.E.
Anastasia
Thumbelina
A Troll in Central Park
Secret of NIHM

Warner Brothers has always lived in the shadow of Disney when it comes to feature films but that doesn't mean they can't roll out a classic every now and then.

Warner Brothers
The Iron Giant
Quest for Camelot
Osmosis Jones
The King and I
Cats Don't Dance
The Hobbit

Hayao Miyazaki is know as the "Japanese Walt Disney" and for good reason. His imaginative stories and settings are equal to any of the fairy tale lands we grew up with and the characters are just as charming and delightful.

Hayao Miyazaki
Ponyo*
Howls Moving Castle
Spirited Away
Kiki's Delivery Service
Castle in the Sky

Great movies can come from many different places. There can be a masterpiece hiding in some dusty corner that doesn't have a celebrity name to call its own. Here are a few of my hidden favorites.

Others
FernGully: The Last Rainforest
Pippi Longstocking
Balto
The Swan Princess
Happily Ever After
The Princess and the Pea
The Princess and the Goblin
The Princess and the Cobbler*
The Secret of Kells*
The Last Unicorn*

* haven't seen

I want to make this list as complete and accurate as possible. If I've made a mistake or you think I've missed a noteworthy non-Disney traditionally animated movie please comment below.

I really couldn't narrow down a top 20 or 30 or even 10, so here's my top 5.

5."Hellfire" (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
Holy catchphrase Batman, is this an evil song! I've never seen a disney song dive this far into the realm of PG ratings. This is a song about lust for a hot chick that Frollo (the most evil disney villain) met about 5 minutes ago, who stiffens his trouser wand and automatically makes him feel like he's filled with sin. This is an AMAZING villain song because he's not just like "I'm going to kill [insert protagonist here]". It's a passionate song about a man struggling...

Ok I have been a fan of Disney since I was about 5. In my time I grew up watching the likes of Aladdin,Pocahuntas The Little Mermaid(released in 1989), The Lion King, Tarzan and of course Beauty and the Beast which was made when I was 6 months old lol. What I like about the past Disney movies is that each story that goes with the movie is usually centered on our lives. For Example:

1# Pocahuntas: Indian Princess falls for sailor while her father doesn't like him.

Reality part to it: Falling for someone from a different background e.g Jewish,Traveller etc.

#2 TLM: Mermaid falls for human while...

MALE STAMPS

Aladdin (Aladdin)
Aladdin is portrayed as clever, and ultimately a good-hearted person. Like most Disney male protagonists, he is a brave young man who seeks to win the affection of many other characters, which demonstrates his insecurity. He can be selfish and indignant at times, which is shown through the wishes he makes. He is not above lying and stealing, but never with evil intentions, but in order to survive. The biggest difference from the norm is that, unlike most youthful Disney heroes, he is a doer rather than a passive character
Words to describe Aladdin: clever, good-hearted,...

Alice (Alice in Wonderland)
Alice is portrayed as being very curious. She's often seen daydreaming and gives herself advice instead of listening to the advice of others. The closest thing Alice has as a friend is Dinah, her cat, and not even she understands Alice's dreams of finding "a world of her own". Alice is well mannered, polite, courteous, mature and has an elegance and gentleness of a young woman, although once she falls into Wonderland she finds it harder and harder to maintain her composure. She is shown to be determined, but her determination is often overpowered by her temper, seeing...
