Now, before we go on with our story, there is a different story that needs to be told. On Megans Birth day, do you remember when Wally read Numbuh 1000's diary? That day he found out several things. Things he never told ANYONE, because Megan was one of his cousins best-freinds. Plus, she would hurt him if he spilled anything. Now, he kept those secrets for several months. That was a record for him. Besides him and Kuki...you know. But, *sigh* , secrets are hard to keep when you have the attention span of a gold-fish.
"GET ME OUTA HERE!!!!!!!" numbuh 5 screamed at the top of her lungs.
"We're trying! " Megan guiltilly responded.
If only she could control her emotions better.....
While the others were trying to pull Abby out with a long branch, Kacey was investigating the hole. Holes don't "magicilly apear out of no where" . A white substance was stuck on the ridge of the hole. She sniffed it. She knew that smell anywhere. Sugar.
32 minutes and 27 seconds earlier:
"Com'on, you scally-wags, DIG!!" Captin Sticky beard shouted.
Several of his men were digging holes all along the pathway, and covering them with leaves as they finished. The captin laughed heartilly.
"Those pesky Kids Next Door aint gonna know what hit them by the time they happen to step in to one of these traps."
Suddenlly, they heard sounds behind them. Teeenagers.
"Quick men! Finish up!" Sticky beard cried out.
The crew-mates hurridly covered the holes with branches and such. One of the more clumsy sea men even spilled some of his sugar sack in his rush.
Present:
HEAVE!!!! numnbuh 4 shouted.
They all, heaved, and then they hoed.
With a groan she crawled out.
"We better keep going before more random natural disasters appear." sighed Kiki, brushing dirt of her tights.
They continued down the path, wary of any more catastrophes.
POP!!!!
With a puff of purple smoke, 2 figures appeared on the path.
"Hey, Val, hey Minerva." numbuh 3 said nonchalantly.
She had got used to them randomly turning up on missions.
Numbuh two sighed. "Lemme guesss, your dads want us to baby-sit us or we are in for the spanking of the lifetime?"
"No, not today!" Val chirpped cheerfully.
"Nah, we want in on some of that candy." Minerva said with a shrug of her shoulders.
"Well, there IS safety in numbers......" Maddy said with a "I-don't-really-care-as-long-as-you-don't-bother-me" shrug.
Val gasped.
"Numbuh 8, you look awesome!" she gleefully squealed, admiring her cape.
The almost pointless conversation went on like this for the next couple blocks. Numbahs 4 and 7 were three more Rainbow Monkey trivia questions from murder.
Trying as hard as humanily possible not to kill somthing, they started to talk.
"Don't you think its weird how Megans been acting around numbuh two?" Kacey asked.
"Yeah, I miss him getting hit upside the head every 5 minutes." Wally sighed.
She gave him a look.
"Sorry." he said in a not-sorry way.
