I was inspired to write this by the original song by Camille Saint-Saens. And since Halloween is right around the bend, who wouldn't love a little horror story? Plz comment!

They told me to stay away.
several times now.
But I still want to go in.
I stare blankly into the empty field that is the graveyard. A sudden breeze blows my hair into my eyes, and the doors of the houses behind me moan and sway before abruptly slamming shut.
The clock tower in the town center strikes midnight. Trick-or-treating wrapped up hours ago, but when I tried to lay myself in bed, the same thought nagged at me. It still did so now, even after walking three blocks on deserted streets.
Is the legend really true?
I looked at my watch. Two minutes past twelve already. I shook my head in disappointment, and the answer rang in my head.
No.
I turned and began to walk away, but at that very moment, a voice, sounding like that of a young child's. However, I couldn't quite decipher what it was saying. Was it "Stay away." or "Stay and Play"?
An eerie lavender fog clutched my ankles, as though attempting to pull me in. I looked behind me to see that there was more than plenty of it in the graveyard. I turned around, and with a glow of courage, made my decision.
I'm going in.
I strode onto the dry grass, some of it crunching under my boots. I was about to call out "Hello?" when all of a sudden, an eerie glow appeared near one of the graves. Then another, and another, and another.
Deformed figures pull themselves out, one by one, and stand up. They're all dead, without a doubt, several of them missing their limbs and eyes, but they still look very much alive.
And they're all looking straight at...me.
I stumble backwards, and bump into something warm. I look back to see a boy, about my age. He's quite handsome, even though he has more than one stich on his face, and the skin on his left hand has been ripped clean off.
I hear music. I look in its direction to see a skeleton sitting atop a massive grave, and playing a tune. Long-dead men reunite with their wives and waltz among the tombstones.
I feel the boys' bony hand grasp my shoulder, and he says aloud in his cockney accent:
"Shall we dance?"
"Umm...sure." I respond.
He takes my hand in his, and whirls me around, and we join in the lively waltz. We stare into each others eyes, not taking our gaze off each other for one minute.
*********
A few hours passes in an instant, and before I know it, the sun's light spreads itself onto the night sky.
"Well," I say to the boy. "See you next year, then."
But he pulls me back. "Who said you were leaving?"
"Wait...what?"
He drags me to the center of the graveyard, where a glowing hole in the ground is slowing getting larger and larger. All who are there make their way towards it.
I look down, and see nothing by a white light. One by one, like fearless skydivers, they jump in, disappearing into it.
"What-"
I don't finish my sentence, because the boys bony hand takes me by the shoulder and shoves me in.
"No!"
But its already too late. He has jumped after me, and I can't stop myself.
I'm falling, falling...
towards the light.

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.
Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.
And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.
If I could have just One Wish
If I could have just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine...
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.
He longs to just just wring her neck, to make her stop breathing. His hands form a fist, wishing her neck was there. He watches her without a care in the world. Acting stupid and ignorant. He wants the satisfaction that only her death will bring. He imagines her dead and laughs insanely. His phyco smile matches his insane personality.
They don't know anything. She's alone. All on her own. She hates that she suffers alone. She wants them suffer, to hear their screams of pain. But like everything else, it's useles. She can't do anything about it. She's alone to cry, scream, and moan. No one to comfort or hold her. She sucks it up and faces the world. Alone.

when love dies
Love is the cause of innocent cries,
As when love dies,
Love becomes a lie,
The death of their love,
They mourn,
As their hearts are torn,
Broken hearts drift apart,
As they reminisce on the past,
Of the love they hoped would last,
Tears rot into the ground,
As they mourn what they had found;
A love that made them feel sound,
Their only hope if for their love to unfold,
As without eachother their hearts are cold,
Their only comfort; someone to hold,
Their hopes crushed,
for eachother they no longer lust,
As in eachother they no longer trust,
A thought keeping them awake;
For eachother, should they wait?
Or is it already too late?
Can they ever find another,
Or were they made for eachother?
Can they withstand not being together?
[ Because]
When love dies,
Everything turns to lies,
Because when love dies,
We fall apart inside

Silent shadows in the dead of night.
Ghostly girls whisper "everything's alright."
Dark and lonely in the space provided,
Gets the little boys exited.
The screech of the staircase as each boy took a step, Awaken the parents of the girls whom are kept.
The boys have shivers down there spine,
Seems like the girls lied when they said everything was fine.
The boys run fast away, sadly only one shall stay.
The whistle blew and time came few, so who shall it be? Sadly the boys wished the ghostly girls they couldn't see.
Down through the halls they giggled with glee, for they had a new toy that was as precious as me.
