There are tons of anti stories out there, and mine is probably no different than yours. (If you, are, of course, an Anti.) However, it all started out the very day I picked up the book Twilight...

I heard many comments about Twilight, how wonderful the series was, and how wonderful Edward and Bella's love was. As usual, I resisted. But my friends, who were all Twilight fans, kept insisting that I read the most amazing book in the history of books. So I'm like, "Hey! I missed out on Harry Potter-(I only read Harry Potter when I was nine, when I could have read it when I was seven, all because I had this aversion of hype.)-so why not give Twilight a chance?" Yeah. Why not give Twilight a chance? I borrowed the book from the library.

I read the book. But I was so disillusionised. There was none of the beautiful romance that my friends waxed lyrical about. Just two cardboard characters, a poor plot, and bad writing. Never mind-maybe it's just the first book, perhaps she wants to take things slow. I shall pick up New Moon. And so I did. (I read Twilight the time where all the Twilight books had been published.)

I finished New Moon in a day. I was even more disillusionised. I HATED how Bella was weak after Edward left her. I hated the drama of the whole Edward-going-to-the-Volturi thing. He KNOWS Alice's visions aren't really substantial. Will it kill him to go to Forks and verify that Bella is dead or otherwise? OK, I said. Maybe this is the second book. Maybe the last one would be better. One last chance for the Twilight series-and that chance is Breaking Dawn.

So, skipping Eclipse, I read BD. No, wait. I BOUGHT Breaking Dawn and read it. Oh my goodness. I came out with wanting to take a torch and burning EVERY single Twilight book in the world. What is this *sputter* *sputter* *choke*... I literally was speechless for a week. I couldn't believe this was actually published. I couldn't believe I wasted my $20 on this book. I couldn't believe girls all over the world like Twilight. I couldn't believe anything anymore.

But instead of running around in my underwear, tearing my hair out, and screaming: "AH! I HATE TWILIGHT! I HATE TWILIGHT!", a dramatic change took place within me. I evolved. After I read it, I had an increased urge to go on the rooftops and proclaim to all the world that Twilight was a horrible book. I had evolved into something frightening to Twifans all around the globe: A TWILIGHT ANTI!

With my fellow Antis, I found my refuge. They were more disillusionised than me about the Twilight series-which was quite a feat. We discussed points-why we hated the books, and everything. I was in Heaven.

Today, I am still an anti. I will be an anti forever. For those of you Twilight fans who say that Antis have not read the books, you guys are wrong. We read the books, and disliked them. We saw the problems with the book. We aren't closed minded-quite the opposite actually. So, this is the story of how I became an Anti-which is quite like most others'.

Perhaps we don't see things that Twilight fans see, and see the things that Twilight fans don't see. It's perception that makes us different, but then, isn't perception what makes us all human? If we don't have perception, we are just living, breathing computers.

I would like to add that I love all the Twilight fans, this article isn't meant to bash the Twilight fans. I have many friends who are Twilight fans and I love them insanely. I just don't like the series. :)

Cheers,
MC.

5:20 I wonder what some of the fans think of this. I think Taylor has noticed that some fans don't like him simply because he plays Jacob so is saying he's not on any teams when he's made it clear he's Team Jacob. Poor Tay.

So I was originally going to publish this article in the Books to Read spot, but then found this place, and I think it fits in here much better :) Anywho, this is an opinion article I originally wrote for my school newspaper. Yes, it's a bit of a rant, but I don't mean to be offensive, so please don't take it that way. Enjoy :)

There’s no way you haven’t heard of it. From the first publishing of that first book to the most recent perfume-bottle scandal, Twilight has permeated the very core of pop culture, not to mention high school conversation. No matter whether...

Lately, I've heard and seen jokes and comments about Edward being "pathetic" or "gay" because he was a 100 year old virgin. I've written this article to state that I see no problem in him being a virgin. I feel that virginity is not something to poke fun at. It simply means that someone wants to save themselves for that special someone whom they are going to spend the rest of their life with. I myself am a virgin and plan to stay that way until I get married.

However, I am somewhat confused. If Edward has lived for 100 years and has yet to give himself to anyone, then why does he decide to have...

Seriously it's scary to think this Twihard may have been serious with these statements. This is a version with the Black Pawn Movement's riffs because the original video has been removed by the user. For some reason they ALWAYS are! ;D

This is a short little rant, people.

I don't know about you, but one of my biggest pet peeves is when people spell my name wrong.

On Fanpop, I've gotten ranrea, renre, renray, ranraa, and many others. In real life, I've gotten Reagan, Regon, Regen, Reagen.... and people are always misspelling my last name (I'm not displaying that here.)

One thing I've noticed on Fanpop (and many other fansites, as well) is that people often fail to spell Stephenie Meyer's name right. That's right: StephEnie, with an E right there. Not an 'a'. An 'e'.

Some people have completely butchered Meyer's name. Stephanie,...
