Since when does skin color have anything to do with sexual orientation and gender identity...?

^ That's kind of my question lol.

But I'm not really bothered by it either which way.

Not bothered but I don't see the point? Especially since there are more skin colors besides brown and black. Race and sexuality aren't related.

hi i'm queer, a poc, and from philly

it's super important because qpoc are often left out of lgbtq+ communities, despite the fact that we have trans women of color to thank for pride and the start of the gay rights movement. black and brown folx are left out of queer spaces over and over. black and brown queer folx continue to be targeted by police and civilian violence. white queers (and white people in general) need to be reminded that queerness is not just skinny white people, and that gay rights comes from much more than wanting marriage equality, and that gay rights continues to be about much more than marriage equality (and other legal issues etc). stonewall was about police violence. guess what we haven't solved yet, despite what white queers think....

That's like thinking being black makes you gay.

Then there might as well be a minority flag, not a LGBT flag. It doesn't make sense in this case.

It's ridiculous. The LGBT flag is meant to represent the different sexualities that exist outside of the "default" Heterosexuality, it's not meant to represent different races. It doesn't need to emphasize race because sexuality exists within all races, not just whites. And this fact is already implied, so the change is stupid.
