i hear footsteps behind me. i look through the corner of my eye to see who it is.
of coarse i thought.
out of everybody in the world,
it was craig.
the one person i didn't want to speak to.
so i continue walking.
"MANNY!! MANNY!!!" i hear him call.
so i stopped and turned around. as i did so i realised i had tears running all down my face.
he noticed how upset i was straight away.
"manny. whats wrong??" he asked me as he pulled me in for a hug.
i pulled away within milliseconds.
"craig. i. have. to. tell. you. something." i said one word at a time
"what? you can tell me anything" he said
oh god i am so nervous so i just said it out in one fast shot "CRAIG, IM PREGNANT!"
i felt more tears run down my face. i must've looked a mess.
"are... are you serious?" he said kinda of shockingly.
"of coarse im serious i couldn't lie about that" i said kind of angrily. how could he think i'd joke about this? i thought
then a massive smile spread across his face.
why was he smiling? this was a serious matter.
"i'm gonna be a dad" he thought out loud.
"do you wanna go back to my house and talk about it?" he asked me.
"that would be nice" i smiled as i said this.
he walked me to his house, his arm over my shoulder. this seemed like a screwed up but perfect fairytale.
i sat down on the couch and he made me a hot chocolate.
he came and brought it out to me and sat down next to me.
we sat there awkardly but silently for a few minutes then he broke the silence.
"how'd you figure out?"he asked curiously
"period. 5 weeks late. morning sickness. every single day for the past week. i just added up the hints" i told him
"so its not positive?" he asked worringly
"i brought a pregnancy test last night. lunch today in the girls bathroom. it was offical" i said. being with craig suprisingly made me feel better.
"i can't believe this im goning to have a child. my very own" he said like he was in his own little world.
"craig, im sorry but i can't keep the baby." i said nervously
his face fell. "why not?" he practically yelled at me.
"its to hard. im 12. its... its just not right" i responded. "im going home and going to tell my parents"
i got up kissed his forehead, and before i left he grabbed my arm and touched my stomach. "this could be our family" he whispered as he let go. i looked at the ground and walked out.
i can't believe that im walking home to tell my parents that im pregnant. they are never going to trust me again i thought as i walked home.
