I rolled over in my bed and looked toward the door which Nikki had just walked through.

"She must of had another nightmare. I wish I could stop them, but I can't it the mark that is causing the nightmares. Images from her ancestors past. I can't stop those, but I can be there to comfort her."

I got out of my bed and pulled on my shoes and headed out the door. I knew where she was without even having to think about it.

I turned left and headed to the wooded area of the city we were in. I headed down the worn in path and sure enough there she was sitting on a rock looking up at the moon. I walked up behind her as quitely as I could.

"You can start to howl at the moon anytime you want too." I said as I came and sat by her.

She nearly fell off the rock as I did. "Alex yo-you scared me. What are you doing up i thought you were sleeping?"

I smiled at her. "I was untill I heard you leave and realized that you may need someone to talk to after your nightmare."

"You always do know when i have a bad dream." SHe said and smiled at me.

Just her smile made my heart melt into a puddle, like an ice cream left outside on a summers day.

"What are friends for?" I asked. i smiled back at her to let her know that it wasn't really a question to be answered. "So do you wanna talk about it?"

She looked at me and said. "Its just the same dream I have been having for the last couple of days now." She then looked back to the moon.

I knew what dream she was talking about, and I didn't know what to say. That dream was horrible, even though it wasn't her memory it was someones and that someone must of felt horrible after it.

"I'm sure it will stop, after all dreams can only go on for so long." I finally said, but I knew I was being of no help.

She let out a small smile. "Thanks for tring to help Alex."

"Anytime." I said.

I then took her by the hand. "Come on lets get back to the hotel. its cold out her and i don't want you catching another cold."

She sqeezed my hand alittle and stood up. "Alright lets go." She said.

We walked back to the hotel room but didn't go to sleep. Instead we stayed up and played various card games.
